Author has written 1 story for My Hero Academia/僕のヒーローアカデミア, and Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug & Cat Noir. Well, since I've actually published something now, might as well put something here. Heya everyone. I'm Team NiceDynameat. I've tried writing fanfic before, on other websites, and although I had a few stories go above 100k words, I never ended up finishing any of them. So, I might publish a oneshot or two on occasion on here, probably silly little things like The Essence of Being a Hero where there's not much context and I just thought the moment was cool and wanted to write it out. If anyone happens to get inspired to write something based off of anything I put here though, please do let me know. I'd love to read a full story of pretty much any of the bits and pieces I'll end up posting here. A bit about me as a reader and a writer: I don't tend to like stories whose chapters are less than 1k words each. They just seem too short and insubstantial for me, and often you don't get anything out of a new chapter when it's posted because there's so little in each chapter. My ideal chapter length for a story is about 4k-6k words. I really like stories where the characters have to react to and deal with out of context problems. Whether this comes in the form of powers from other stories or knowledge from the future or just really really weird applications of in-universe power, I eat that stuff up like candy. My cardinal rule of writing: Only 1 character is allowed to speak per paragraph! There are other little nitpicks and tricks that I could list out that authors can use to make it extra clear to their readers who is speaking at any given time, but this rule is the most important and is honestly usually enough by itself to prevent confusion. Well, I suppose that's it. I hope some of you stick around in case I end up dumping more oneshot nonsense on this site. Have a good one, everyone! |
