Basics:

My name's Ruby. I changed my penname, because when you're first starting out, it's all fine and dandy to have a name based off of a character. But now I want to have some individuality. I love to write; I'm nineteen, in college, and learning to become an English teacher at the high school level. I've changed as a person, and because of that, my writing has changed drastically since I first started posting here, so most of what I have in this account I view as a poor representation of what I've become now, and of what I want myself to be seen as. Mostly everything I write now is on livejournal, but I still post here when appropriate.

I'm going to say it now - I'm done with the Final Fantasy VII fandom. Just done. After Advent Children, my tolerance for fans completely shattered, and I've reduced myself to simply not caring about the fandom as much as I used to. For this reason, don't expect very many Final Fantasy VII fanfics from me. I'll write them, but more than likely never post them.

That aside, I'm currently writing Final Fantasy VIII (mostly all Seifer/Squall) and Kingdom Hearts (mostly Leon/Cloud) fanfiction, and that's about it. I focus on Final Fantasy VIII, as of recent, so that should be what you can expect from me. As for pairings, Seifer/Squall is pretty much all I write nowadays, and, likewise, all I read. (Shame? What shame?) Absolution is getting a revamp, and the edited and cleaned-up version will be posted in my LiveJournal. I've been prompted into working on that fanfic and finishing it, so that's what I plan on doing. :D

Absolution --A Kingdom Hearts AU multi-part. Leon/Cloud, Sephiroth/Cloud. This fanfic has been going for a while now, and has hardly managed to get anywhere due to a lack of inspiration, motivation, and just a general feeling that it isn't worth it. However, I have been prompted into working on it once again, so I should be gettinga new update out soon. Currently on chapter four.

From the Mind -- A Final Fantasy VIII AU multi-part. Seifer/Squall. Set in the past, this is pretty much an excuse for me to play with Knights, Sorceresses, Magick and Guardian Forces. It's relatively new, and I plan on keeping it going as long as possible. :D I've spent hours planning it out, and it should get a nice kick-start. Currently on chapter five.

KHII Leon/Seifer verse --A succession of drabbles/one-shots all linked around a verse I've created where Seifer leaves Twilight Town, winds up in Hollow Bastion, and is forced into living with Leon. Eventual Leon/Seifer, it contains hints and tidbits about the Final Fantasy VIII plotline, including Sorceresses, because who can live without Sorceresses? I'm not sure how long I'll keep this verse going - probably until I run out of ideas.
