Even though this story "seems" discontinued, chapter 8 leaves off at the PERFECT time. It's bittersweet but hopeful at the same time and I find the last sentence to be incredibly fitting and worthy of a great ending. The only thing that would round off this work perfectly would be an epilogue, but as I said: without a "happy ending"-epilogue, the ending remains bittersweet (yet still fulfilling), which is wonderful every once in a while. Gorgeous piece of fanfiction, I genuinely enjoyed it.

It's obviously dicsontinues, but I still wanted to let you know much I enjoyed reading this. LOVED the characterization! )

It's been so long since I last read this fic! Reading the new installments only reminded me on the things that made me love this fic in the first place. The characterizations of Cid and Vincent are as good as usual, and I love how you managed to make their relationship work without OOC-ness. It's also especially satisfying to read about Vincent's moment of wisdom when he finally admits that he's not at fault for a lot of things that happened. Glad to know that he's more or less at peace with himself.
