Author has written 9 stories for Witch of Blackbird Pond, Harry Potter, and Tuck Everlasting. Hi! I love telling people about myself. So. I'm Stacy, born in the December of '92, hating the prospect of age. I'm a little whiny and pretty narcissistic, but few people know that because I'm such a loner. I'm not an introvert, I mean, I like being around people! I love being around people. It's just the whole being shy thing that sort of gets in the way. According to that Myer-Briggs test (is that how you spell it?), I'm an INTP. I don't know how good or bad that is but I sure like being an INTP. To the cold hard facts, I love most sorts of music and books I read and movies I watch must have at least a little element of romance in them. Right now I'm listening to Sexyback on the radio and I like it, and recently I've watched Art School Confidential which I really liked. Don't trust the people on . To be more exact still, I live in Singapore, which sounds like a phony travel agency. I'm not really a patriotic person, because the USA and Europe and Egypt do seem a whole lot more interesting than my lovely little island of a home. Hmmm, I'd like to pick up Latin, Welsh, Scottish Gaelic and all those lovely lovely lovely old languages. However, I am currently struggling -yes, struggling- with French. French is my third language but I like to think of it as my second language. Because my current second language, Chinese, is a language I abhor and suck at and totally cannot speak - even though I am Chinese by race. But I'm a very Englishy person. I was raised with grammar and Peter&Jane books, on top of toys and all the other things that normal kids grow up with. I guess I had a major headstart in English. My mum's an English/History/Social Studies teacher. I love history but not Singaporean history, because 1. Singaporean history does not have bloody kings, or raped concubines, or jealous queens and usurping earls. For appearance! -claps hands- I have perfectly, naturally straight black hair. This can be a problem in Singapore because straight hair is -or was- some sort of fashiony thing (I don't know what those bloody teenagers get up to, okay?). Everyone wants straight hair. Hair salons get a kick out of it. A lot of people I've met, besides admiring the loveliness of my hair, also ask me if I've rebonded it. No. I did not do anything to my hair. In Singapore, your eyes are either brown or black. Mine are brown. Despite being a writer in Singapore, I am still (hypocritically so, I admit) skeptical about local talents. I have hardly any interest in stories/poems written by local authors. I do not like local music. I do not like local actors. And local actresses all look the same. However, local culinary is excellent, and so is local photography and art. Anyway! favourite ships Harry Potter SHIPS I DON'T LIKE Harry Potter Tuck Everlasting The Witch of Blackbird Pond |
