In June 2015 after feeling the angst caused by the sudden disappearance of my favorite characters from Walker Texas Ranger at the end of season seven and the short-lived Sons of Thunder spin-off series, I took up the challenge to step into the world of the Malloys and Detective Sandoval to continue their journey and write the stories we never got to see. Each individual story plays out like a single episode. And I plan to keep writing in chronological order with the series until the very end and beyond for as long as I can. When I'm not writing the Legacy series, you can find me at /sotfans in my efforts to keep the fan base of Sons of Thunder alive and well for a new generation.

My pen name is 'Katheryn Beaumont Sandoval' or just 'Kath' if you'd like.

How do my stories work? Katheryn first enters the SOT character's lives early on in season seven. From there, all my stories are either weaved into the episodes' storylines or take place before or after each episode. And sometimes both happens. Therefore, my stories are a series within a series of sorts, exploring even more territory than the series did while staying as close as possible to the cannon material and stories. Walker Texas Ranger crossover with Road to Avonlea - "Riding For a Fall" The great-granddaughter of Andrew and Virginia King, a champion Canadian barrel racer, receives an invitation from a Texas rancher to relocate and teach area DFW children in her art. Yet she arrives to find things aren't exactly the way she pictured they would be.

Walker Texas Ranger crossover with JAG - Former JAG lawyer Meg Austin has returned to Dallas to set up her own practice. When a woman commits a felony in the process of trying to get her daughter back, she is wrongfully accused and must face court. While Meg Austin defends, Alex Cahill prosecutes. As the case continues on, the two women butt heads and will realize they must work together before they all are placed in jeopardy.

Katheryn finally gets a chance to sit down with C.D. and write down as many incredible stories as she can from his days as a Texas Ranger in hopes of writing a novel When Walker and Alex leave for their honeymoon, Carlos and Katheryn take time off to volunteer to house sit for the week they are gone.

WALKER TEXAS RANGER AND LEGACY OF THUNDER SERIES TIMELINE

(may contain some spoilers)

May 1997 - Trent and Carlos reunite per the original "Sons of Thunder" episode, bringing everyone together as Thunder Karate opens and Trent begins his personal protection business

August 1998 - Shortly after the episode "Royal Heist", Katheryn Beaumont moves to Dallas to begin work at the H.O.P.E. center with Alex Cahill. Kath meets the Rangers and Carlos Sandoval for the first time as she is asked to go undercover with Carlos as a local storekeeper's daughter. She also meets Trent Malloy for the first time, getting a taste of self-defense skills with him before she goes on to meet the entire Malloy family. After a successful but dangerous mission, Katheryn makes fast friends with both Trent and Carlos and the Rangers, leading her to believe that she has more of a future in Texas than she ever dreamed.

October 1998 - Katheryn has fully settled into her life in Texas and is now helping Alex plan the upcoming fundraiser for the H.O.P.E. center along with help from the Malloys before tragedy ensues. Has begun continuous karate training with Trent and has earned a couple of belts.

November 1998 - Walker, Alex, Trivette, Trent, and Carlos head to Utah per episode "Survival"

December 4, 1998 - Katheryn and Carlos along with the others hold Christmas toy drive at the H.O.P.E. center

January 4, 1999 - Katheryn tours apartments in Dallas and meets her roommate Molly Mason. The gang meets Butch McMann when Trent invites him to C.D.'s for dinner.

January 5, 1999 - Katheryn moves into her new apartment with Trent and Carlos' help. Trent meets Molly for the first time. Katheryn and Carlos have a moment alone.

January 9, 1999 - The entire gang heads to Walker's ranch for a day of trail riding and relaxation together which doesn't quite go as planned.

January 18, 1999 - Katheryn and Molly have everyone over to their new apartment for dinner for the first time. Carlos finally asks Katheryn out on a date.

January 23, 1999 - Carlos and Katheryn's first date at Uppercuts

February 3, 1999 - The Malloys and Katheryn leave for their vacation in Utah. Molly is in Austin visiting her sick grandmother.

February 18, 1999 - Katheryn first meets Dallas Police officer Sydney Cooke. The Rangers, Alex, and Carlos head back from Mournful.

February 21, 1999 - Carlos and Katheryn's first kiss

March 2, 1999 - Carlos and Katheryn go undercover as a married couple with Trent and Sydney's help to go after Wade Mahoney

March 10, 1999 - Trent asks Katheryn to join him as partner in his personal protection business

Detective Theresa Kelly transfers from Austin and joins the Dallas PD as Carlos' new partner

March 15, 1999 - Trent and Katheryn take down Ralph Martin. Carlos works at helping his nephew Jesse who is imprisoned under a murder charge. Trent and Molly connect for the first time.

March 16, 1999 - Trent leaves to lead a session of Camp Justice and meet his help in Officer Francis Gage. Katheryn gets her first case to solve alone.

Sydney Cooke joins Francis Gage as a rookie Texas Ranger to go undercover for the capture of El Leon and take down his operation

March 26, 1999 - Katheryn and Molly visit the Texas Ranger museum and discover the life of Charlotte Wilson via her carefully-preserved journal
