Figure I’d give my profile a complete rehaul since I no longer strictly write for the Legend of Zelda fandom. Starting now and for in the future, I’m going to give important updates at the end under “News.” (Yes, at the end and not the beginning. Why? I just feel like it.)

Do you like Legend of Zelda and/or Gravity Falls?

Well, if you answered “no” to both, then I have no idea what you’re doing here, but welcome anyway. I guess this is my little corner of FanFiction, so feel free to read my stuff or whatever. :3

Oh, yeah, about me. (If you even care. xD)

Welp, basically I’m a young adult who began writing fanfiction when I succumbed to a chronic condition in 2011. It essentially reduced me to being stuck in bed and bashing my face against a keyboard, calling the resulting mess “writing.” I had gotten a bit better for a few years, but then in early 2016 I fell into a relapse. Because of that I am once more writing with greater frequency considering I’m unable to do much else.

Thanks to my ignorance and lack of interest in the internet (particularly social networking), I didn’t discover this glorious site known as FanFiction until about mid-2015. That was probably a good thing, as my computer had crashed mid-2014 and I lost all of the poorly written garbage from my earlier attempts at writing.

So, why do I write for the Legend of Zelda?

That all goes back to a rainy day in middle school when I went to a friend’s house to play a “cool new game” she’d gotten. I vividly remember entering her living room to be greeted by the dungeons of Hyrule Castle; wolf Link running through the sewers and drizzling palace wall walks with a mystical little imp atop his back. Something about the atmosphere immediately drew me in, and I quickly fell in love with the characters and world. Since then I’ve been a huge fan of the series, collecting merchandise and all the games, cosplaying as various characters, and of course, writing fanfiction.

You may be wondering about my interest in Gravity Falls as well.

When a friend introduced me to the Disney cartoon in July of 2016, I ended up falling in love with it in the same way I had when I’d discovered the Zelda series, but for different reasons. Dipper and Mabel remind me of myself, in addition to what I wish I could be. Their adventures are things I could only dream of doing, some of them reflecting my own experiences in a way. The bond and importance of family that is stressed in the show makes me reflect my relationships with those close to me. The incredible continuity, story arc, and attention to detail are all things that have renewed my faith in cartoons, which before I had previously believed to be “mindless fun” with no deeper meaning.

It personally bugs me that FF doesn't really have an easy way to show if a fic is part of a specific portion of a fandom when displayed on a person’s profile, so that's the purpose of this list. Here is where I will also separate my Gravity Falls stories into things that take place during season one, season two, post-series, AU, or other/unspecified.

~News - August 31st, 2016~

For those who like my Legend of Zelda fics: I’m sorry to say, but because I discovered Gravity Falls, I really can’t find the motivation to write for the Zelda fandom as of now. That definitely doesn’t mean that I’ve stopped writing Zelda fics for good, but I’m just taking a hiatus of unknown length. Gravity Falls got me out of a 6 month stage of writer’s block, and I intend to stick with writing for the fandom until Zelda fics flow more naturally to me again. I apologize for any inconvenience!
