Hello, fellow writers (and guests)! I am PhoenixAsh6953, literature nerd by trade and cat owner by choice. I have always enjoyed studying human nature, particularly through literature; hence my choice of career and personal interests. Reading classical literature has always been my hobby, but my special passion is for Märchen, or “fairytales.” My interest in this began with well-known fairytales like the Brothers Grimm and then expanded beyond to legends, mythology, and other folklore. Some of my favorite authors are Jane Austen, C.S. Lewis, J.R.R. Tolkien, and George MacDonald.

I discovered Fanfiction.net several years ago, and have been browsing through multiple fandoms ever since, and recently I finally decided to create a profile of my own. Why let others have all the fun?

1. Favorite board game? Chess and jigsaw puzzles.
2. Favorite smell? Roses.
3. Favorite sound? A loon call. Look it up if you haven't heard it. It's gorgeous!
4. Favorite color? Purple. It can mean many different things.
5. Worst feeling in the world? Two, actually: Loneliness and shame.
6. What is the first thing you think of when you wake up in the morning? Can I go back to sleep? (Never been a morning person.)
7. Chocolate or vanilla? CHOCOLATE!
8. Storms - cool or scary? Very cool when there's just rain and lightening. When there's something really deadly like a tornado then I get nervous.
9. Meet one person dead or alive? Richard Armitage. He's a skilled actor and I love the way he psychoanalyzes his characters. I've always wanted to have a long conversation with him about theater and literature.
10. Favorite drink? Tea. I am a tea snob, I use leaves instead of bags whenever I can.
11. Favorite book? Phantastes by George MacDonald.
12. Favorite season and why? Hard to choose, I honestly like all four. But if I had to pick, I would say fall. Cold enough for hot drinks but not freezing yet. Plus, nothing is better than spiced apple cider!
