![]() Author has written 5 stories for Legend of Zelda, and Dragon Ball Z. Hi! As you probably have realized, I go by Prometheus17, there is no true origin behind the username, it just sounds cool (yes I do know who Prometheus is and what he did in Greek mythology). But if you must know my real name is Elias, I'm 23, live in Seattle, Washington, U.S., and that's the basic rundown of who I am! As to why I'm here, the story begins July of 2013, I had just seen the movie Pacific Rim, opening week, the theatre was packed, and afterwards nothing would ever be the same when it came to movies. Pacific Rim didn't just change my perception of the Kaiju genre, it changed my perception of movies period. Before Pacific Rim I had always been an enormous fan of the Godzilla franchise, from classics, all the way to what we have now. The new Godzilla movie (starring Heisenberg and Kick-ass) got me right back into the Godzilla series, and due to the fact that it followed Pacific rim so closely, and was made by the same studio; Godzilla-Pacific Rim crossovers were soon on the minds of every fan of the two franchises, including me. But when were we going to be able to see such a thing? Possibly never? Guillermo Del toro said he wants to do it, but can he? Getting tired of waiting I satiated myself with fan art of such a crossover, but soon, found that others were more proactive in making this story a reality, finally I had found , an amazing place where the stories you fantasized about were made reality by fans just like you! Scrolling through the stories, I found a few crossovers that had mixed the two universes in an amazing, ingenious way that instantly grabbed not just me, but "kaiju vs mecha" fans from across this planet we call home. It wasn't just Pacific Rim-Godzilla crossovers I found though, throughout my entire life, I've always been intrigued by the Legend of Zelda series, the interest beginning when I received "Wind Waker" as a Christmas gift. This game led me to acquire Ocarina of Time, Majora's, Mask, Twilight Princess, and so on! The Legend of Zelda universe is fantastic and amazing, the lands of Hyrule and Termina being places I'd jump at the chance to visit. The Legend of Zelda series offers one a chance to jump into a fantasy world and watch everything play out at a pace they set themselves and also affords one the chance to become the main character of epic story. The Legend of Zelda series has it all, a heroic main character, villains that never fail to intimidate, and fascinating worlds and people that can't be found in any other game. The Legend of Zelda series, while being a fulfilling story every time, also leaves room for one's imagination, the main character, Link, with his character being all but a mute in game leaves one to reach their own conclusions on how he speaks and how he sounds when he does so. The stories also leave Link's relationships open to interpretation, does he always end up with Zelda? Does he pursue the girl of more modest means? Or does he go after a different character entirely? That is what's left to your imagination. Other than that though, we have found so may other stories, such as those of the kingdoms of Labrynna, Holodrum, Ikana, Termina, Lorule, and other such lands in which our imagination may allow us to see what course the history and future of those nations and their people might be like. I review everything I read, no matter the quality I always try to show the positives in writing, everyone has their own style, and if you look hard enough, you can see a person in their writing, it's an amazing thing, really. is truly an amazing place where people of all different beliefs and personalities come together to share stories with each other, to bond over common interests, and share something we all believe in, community. Best of luck -Prometheus17 |
