The Basics:I am a very bored 35(!) year old from Southern Oregon. I am terribly addicted to MLB (Go Braves!), CNN and my husband's Green Bay Packers.

Required TV viewing:

MLB Network: If you haven't heard John Smoltz and Ryan Dempster plan their comebacks on MLB Tonight, you are missing out.

CNN: I mostly watch Headline News because I have to wake up at 5AM for work and I fall asleep to Forensic Files. Told you I was old.

Current Shows: Is it sad that I don't get to watch much tv anymore? I am really liking The Crown, Euphoria, the first two season of This Is Us (I quit watching midway through season 3) Grace and Frankie, and Stranger Things.

Old Shows: Game of Thrones, The West Wing (I thought I liked Josh the most, but time has made me fall madly in love with Toby and Sam), Psych, Sons Of Anarchy, True Blood, The Office, Vampire Diaries, The OC, Life On Mars (US Version), That 70s Show, Reunion, American Dreams, Malcolm In The Middle, Prison Break, My Boys, Footballers Wives, and my favorite cartoon, Jem.

Books

I really have too many to mention, but my favorite author is Ellen Emerson White. I have been reading her books over and over since I was seven, and she is the author of my all-time favorite book, Life Without Friends, and her most recent book Long May She Reign is my second. Her whole series about the Powers family is incredible.

I cherish all of my childhood favorites, which of course includes the Anne Of Green Gables series, Louise Fitzhugh's Harriet The Spy series, Phyllis Reynolds Naylor's Alice series, and Lois Lowry's Anastasia series. Oh, and of course Ann M. Martin, and Francine Pascal's Sweet Valley series.

Other favorites:

Arthur Golden - Memoirs Of A Geisha, Curtis Sittenfeld - American Wife, all Terry McMillan, most Alisa Valdes-Rodriguez, Gregory Maguire, Jackie Collins (embrace the trashy), and of course, Anderson Cooper's Dispatches From The Edge.

Movies:

I like movies and watch TCM a lot but its really hard to absolutely love something that is only two hours long for me. I mostly prefer tv. Of course, Remember The Titans is one of my favorites, and I will watch anything with Gene Kelly in it.

Fanfiction:

I have a lot of fanfic that I have read over the years that I love but can't remember, and don't have time to look for. Most of it is on this site. I am too lazy to add to my favorites list when I read, but two stories stick out for me that I have read quite a few times, and they are great.
