With a username like UnknownBlackHand, I'd like to keep an aura of mystery about myself.

I've been writing my own stories since before I could write really. In my childhood, I would draw a series of pictures and then have my mother print the words I wanted written, after all I knew she could spell better than I could at the time and her handwriting is still more legible than mine!

I started writing seriously when I was twelve. I created my own characters and story-lines. I'd post them for all to see, but this isn't the site for them since I'm not using identical plots or characters from other stories, with the exception of Dracula and folkloric beings like Santa or the Greek Gods.

Now, I was twelve in 2007. Ever since I started writing, I've only improved. Therefore, I'll be demonstrating a high understanding of grammar in my up and coming stories, as well as this profile.

Proper Uses of Confusing Words:

1. Your: Possessive term. Examples: That is your dragon. Your dragon's eyes are so beautiful.

2. You're: Contraction of 'you are'. Examples: You're the owner of that dragon. Stop goofing around or you're grounded!

3. There: Usually directed to places, but it is also synonymous with the words: Here, in attendance, at hand, nearby, that way. Examples: Yeah, UnknownBlackHand was there, at the concert. There are several reasons why you can't play with that Terrible Terror. Look over there!

4. They're: Contraction of 'they are'. Example: They're out riding dragons.

5. Their: Possessive term. Examples: They are riding their dragons. That is their dragon

Words to NEVER Start Sentences With:

1. And: It just shouldn't start a sentence, but this one is still used on occasion, but it looks tacky. Alternatives: Plus, In addition to...

2. Because: Someone is guilty of this, another fairly common one, but it is not first-word material. Alternatives: Due to this/ the fact that/ etc. or learn to use a semicolon ;

3. But: Can't be taken seriously! Alternative: However (personal favorite).

Notable Characteristics: Navy blue coloration although some her scales are bright enough to be considered cobalt, and blue eyes.

Personality: Fierce fighter, rough player, inquisitive, not easily submissive.

Shadowrath:

Species: Night Fury

Training Status: Tamed and bonded

Notable Characteristics: He is a deeper black than Toothless, his red-violet eyes, scarred body.

Personality: A high-status dragon, he is proud, aggressive, and puts the fury in Night Fury.

Midnightfire:

Species: Night Fury?

Training Status: Started out as a fairly tame dragon, doesn't bond until Chapter 10 in The Dragonstone

Tribe

Notable Characteristics: Hatchling, with bright blue scales with some of them being silver to make her look like the night sky, blue eyes, and she has a reddish and more explosive plasma blast. Her coloration and unique plasma blast makes it questionable if she really is a Night Fury or a subspecies of one.

Personality: Inquisitive, and very mischievous.

Claudette:

Species: Human

Training Status: Bonded to a Skrill

Relationship status: Married to Fishlegs

Notable Characteristics: She started out as a fairytale princess, but after being turned into a dragon, and after a fight on Berk she went from Princess to Viking within a short time.

Personality: Enjoys reading and sewing, she makes a great sword fighter and archer. Apologetic for her actions as a dragon, loyal, and bold.

Helga the Mace Menace:

Species: Human

Training Status: New rider of Barf

Relationship Status: Married to Tuffnut

Notable Characteristics: Always has a mace on her person.

Personality: Although she isn't mentioned that much, she is fiery, somewhat insane, fascinated with Zipplebacks, and even bonded with the Screaming Death. She is also known for baking bread that is fit to feed the gods.

Anora:

Species: Human

Training Status: Midnightfire bonded with her

Relationship Status: None other than her parents

Notable Characteristics: Draconic eyes and a 'necklace' of dragon scales.

Personality: She is Hiccup and Astrid's daughter and she will take after them quite nicely.

Whoshadow:

Species: Skrill

Training Status: Tamed and bonded with Claudette

Notable Characteristics: She is the largest Skrill Hiccup had ever seen

Personality: Very loyal to friends, but she is definitely a vengeful type.

Brunhild:

Species: Bewilderbeast

Training Status: Wild, even though she was born on Berk

Notable Characteristics: Seems to be a normal Bewilderbeast, she is a hatchling though, just a little bit older than Midnightfire

Personality: Friend to Midnightfire, but there's not much to say about her. She's also a helping hand to her father.

Thunder Queen:

Species: Black Typhoon, Original breed

Training Status: Trained Alpha

Notable Characteristics: Half the size of a Red Death, can take in and redirect lightning, shoot spines, fire plasma, and deliver thunderous wing blasts.

Personality: Leader, and a good one. She is very protective of her nest, loyal, trusting, and a strong defender.

Cuttleclaw:

Species: Humanoid Demon, part of the Vessel of Fear

Training Status: Has the command of a draconic, demonic, creature.

Personality: He is a murderous monster, a king among demons, and an eater of the hears of heroes. However, he detests rudeness and has a taste for tea. Making him a gracious host for a tea party. He is actually my favorite villain that I've worked with.

Snotlout:

Original Traits: Scarred face, missing a forefinger

How: Acquired scar during the climatic battle in Resurfaced and a Dragonstone, how he got the scar is unmentioned. The forefinger was lost because it was bitten off by an enemy Terrible Terror

Alvin the Treacherous:

Original Traits: Missing eye

How: Lost during the climatic battle in Resurfaced and a Dragonstone, it was gouged out by a wyvern dragon.

Stoick the Vast:

Original Traits: Burn-scarred and cut-scarred skin, trimmed beard

How: During HTTYD2 Stoick took some damage, I mentioned that shards of ice cut his skin, and he was burned up in his funeral pyre. It is because of his gods that he is still alive. However, not all of his impressive beard could be saved, hence the trimming.

Astrid:

Original Traits: Missing right foot

How: It was severed off by Claudette during the climatic battle of Resurfaced and a Dragonstone when Claudette was under the control of the enemy Bewilderbeast. Now she wears a false foot.

Hiccup Horrendous Haddock III:

Original Traits: Dragon eyes, and a 'tattoo' of a dragon silhouette on his left pectoral that is made of scales.

How: They were a gift from Loki.

Vanilla Winters (Ravenclaw):

Physical Appearance: Ginger hair, pale skin, and bright blue eyes

Best Class: Defense Against the Dark Arts

Wand: Holly, unicorn hair, 11.5 inches, tulip handle.

First Appearance: New Friends, Old Friends.

Ivan VonGrimm (Ravenclaw):

Physical Appearance: Brown hair (later with blue in it), green eyes (the left one turns bright blue), fairly handsome.

Best Class: Potions

Wand: Alder, dragon heartstring, 14.5 inches, black, eagle talons grip a clear crystal.

First Appearance: New Friends, Old Friends.

Special Abilities: Able to invent new potions, and his right eye becomes magical.

Jenny Granger (Ravenclaw):

Physical Appearance: Brunette, intense sapphire eyes, usually appears manic.

Best Class: Care of Magical Creatures

Wand: Ash, phoenix tail feather, 14 inches, cherry color with embossed rose and thorn pattern.

First Appearance: New Friends, Old Friends.

Special Abilities: Werewolf

Emily Gawain (Gryffindor):

Physical Appearance: Raven hair, sapphire eyes, average height

Best Class: Defense Against the Dark Arts

Wand: Vine, dragon heartstring, 15 inches, grapevine embossing.

First Appearance: Girls' Bathroom.

Special Abilities: She has adopted the mannerisms fit for a princess

Ally Lancer (Gryffindor):

Physical Appearance: Petite, dark red hair, electric blue eyes (later the colors in her hair and eyes grow more intense)

Best Class: Defense Against the Dark Arts

Wand: Black walnut, dragon talon, 16 inches, phoenix head base with ruby eyes.

First Appearance: Girls' Bathroom

Special Abilities: Vampire (later) can assume the form of a Hungarian Horntail by reusing the residual magic left behind in a potion invented by Ivan.

Rowan VonGrimm (Slytherin):

Physical Appearance: Raven hair, hazel eyes (later the hair adopts a white streak, and an eye turns red)

Best Class: ?

Wand: Hawthorn, hippogriff talon, 13.5 inches (later: Bloodwood, basilisk fang, 13.5 inches)

First Appearance: Hiccuped on Hi-Jinx

Special Abilities: Scheming.

Kay Black (Ravenclaw):

Physical Appearance: Copper hair, green-blue eyes, pale, and lean

Best Class: ? assumed Potions or Transfiguration

Wand: Elder, thestral tail hair, 16 inches, dragon claw holds a blue crystal, also has a thorn carving.

First Appearance: The Goblet of Fire

Special Abilities: Reading magic, making wands, taming thestrals.
