Author has written 5 stories for Ranma, and Rurouni Kenshin. 'Sup. It's been awhile since I've gone to the trouble of updating this thing. Here are a few ground rules when it comes to reading some of my stuff: I respect criticism, because it creates a better story. I may be writing the story for myself, but I'm also writing it for your own enjoyment, and I'd like nothing more than to create your ideal story as well as mine. On the flip side, I reserve the right to defend my choices and feel reasonably offended should you go out of your way to hurt my feelings. I hope you consider my work worthwhile, and what doesn't kill me (etc. etc. and all that jazz). Music: Some favorite artists are Gary Allen, Cobra Starship (classy), Rolling Stones, Queen, Webber, the Beatles (duh), Brad Paisley, Brooke Frasier, Liliana Rose, Feist, Lilly Allen, the Thorns, Marcy Playground, Jason Mraz, Regina Spektor and etc. The list goes on. I believe music is an important way for the regular individual to stay in touch with the aesthetic aspects of life. Books: I believe every girl should read Jane Austen. She's such a staple in female literature that she's a difficult author to ignore. Some classics I still enjoy reading are favorites such as "East of Eden" by Steinbeck,"Fountainhead" by Rand, "A Tree Grows in Brooklyn" by Betty Smith. Oh, and of course "Jane Ere" by Bronte. The Movies: FAVORITE t.v. show ever, (which has sadly been canceled), is Pushing Daisies. I love embracing the hipster in me with independent films and most British comedies. I highly recommend "Death at a Funeral". Favorite movies include others such as "Princess Bride", "ten Things I hate About You", "Fantastic Mr. Fox", "The Guard", "Strictly Ballroom", "Sin City" and "300", now also "The Spirit"... So many favorites, not enough attention span. :) Musical Productions: I absolutely ADORE showtunes. "Jekyll and Hyde", "Aida", "Les Miserables", "Phantom of the Opera", "Wicked", "Hairspray", "Annie Get Your Gun", "Man of Lamancha", etc. etc. Get on it, it's good stuff. Some favorite quotes/poems: Well, most of them you will see printed in my stories but... "Horse sense is the thing a horse has which keeps it from betting on people." - W.C. Fields "It is better to keep your mouth shut and appear stupid than to open it and remove all doubt." - Mark Twain "Heaven goes by favor. If it went by merit, you would stay out and your dog would go in." - Mark Twain " Deep into the darkness peering, long I stood there wondering, fearing, doubting, dreaming dreams no mortal ever dreamed before..." - Edgar Allan Poe's, The Raven "...When the stars threw down their spears, and watered heaven with their tears, did he smile his work to see? Did he who made the lamb make thee?... " - William Blake, The Tiger "To accomplish great things, we must not only act, but also dream; not only plan, but also believe." - Anatole France "The supreme happiness of life is the conviction that we are loved. Loved for ourselves. Or rather, loved in spite of ourselves." - Victor Hugo's, Les Miserables, spoken by Fantine "Laughter is the sun that drives winter from the human face." - Victor Hugo " If we listened to our intellect, we'd never have a love affair. We'd never have a friendship. We'd never go into business because we'd be cynical. Well, that's nonsense. You've got to jump off cliffs all the time and build your wings on the way down." - Ray Bradbury "Technically, I don’t believe you can blow someone’s guts out their mouth." - Pushing Daisies "Have you ever shivered when you peed? That's how I felt when he spoke." - Pushing Daisies |
