Many many years later and this is still one of my fave Ranma fanfic. It's easily in the top 5. I cant explain how realistic it was written. How heart breaking it was and how heart warming. You captured both Ranma's and Akane's personalities so well. You translated their core, their soul. Its amazing.

This is the only Fanfiction that has ever made me cry. You are amazing! this story is epic and so beautifully written. I LOVED all the flashback sweet moments they have, not corny or OOC, so simple and honest and so fefreshing to read and totally imaginable. Great characterisation and completely realistic they they would still have insecurities after they have been married. Dont know what else I can say. JUST AMAŹING!

this reminds me of another story i read i think its older in the story ranma died saving akane but she was still crippled and the lost of ranma and the use of her body akane completely gave so ukyo decided to become her enemy to motivated her to walk again and like that story i really love this story and you did a wonderful job with keeping there characters as close to the show as possible i really like that no ones completely right both akane and ranma did pretty bad things even if it was understandable the reason they did it it would of been easy to choose one of them to be in the wrong but with characters like ranma and akane with there personalty's the only realistic result i can see is them both hurting each other badly with there stubbornness you did a good job showing there emotions and what was going though there minds which really help synthesize with both of them i find you do a better job at making incredibly in-depth characters then half the people who get paid to do it for a living

This story is so painful to read, because the writing is so measured and thoughtful, and the characterizations are heartbreakingly fleshed out. It hurts to see Ranma and Akane hurt each other, even if they make it in the end. The emotions feel so real here. This is beautifully done. Thank you so much for writing this!

I love the story, I think Ranma was thinking of his mother after asking Akane to kill himself. Poor Akane, that must been a nightmare inside another after accepting that... Ranma was mean, even after he admit to himself he couldn't ever kill Akane even if she ask it...

Well, this is just fantastic! They've obviously matured, but are recognisably themselves and still retain their biggest problem: terrible communication. That they sorted it out with their little chats over tea in the epilogue was really nice, giving hope that they really did come out of this disaster stronger for it.

Though geez, Ranma really did deserve to lose her holding the suicide thing over her like that, especially when he no longer even intended to do it! Even with Akane's overly harsh 'training methods' to motivate Ranma to heal, I still feel like what he did was worse.

I'd had a similar 'Ranma gets a spinal injury' idea for a story myself (though no way near as dark and set early in the manga), and someone I discussed it with told me of this story. Unfortunately he couldn't remember the name so I've been searching for this story for ages. So glad to have finally stumbled upon it!

Excellent story! I'm most impressed with how well you were able to 'mature' the crew, yet keep them... Well, THEM.

Also, I found that Scala and Kolackney's versions of 'Nothing Else Matters', and 'With or Without You' suit the story very much :) I had them on repeat the whole way through.
