I'm here, I'm the worst. It's been over a year since I updated The Unexpected and I am so sorry. I've had college issues and medical problems that have prevented me from writing but I promise that the stories are coming along. The Unexpected chapter 14 should be up within the next few weeks!

I apologize here and now for any grammatical or spelling errors in any of my stories. As time goes and as I begin to finish up some of my longer stories, I will try to go back and fix them. I try to check my stories as thoroughly as I can, but I am my own beta, so it takes a lot of time and effort. ~ I'M SORRY :( ~

Also, I apologize for holes in the stories. When I sit down to write, I definitely binge-write, meaning I'd write an entire chapter in one sitting. Very rarely will I span my time for writing a chapter out evenly. This leads to me forgetting what I've already written, so there are some controversial holes in my stories, such as things in later chapters or even later in one chapter that go against what was previously said. ~ My Apologies ~

Story Origins:

The Unexpected: I was playing Skyward Sword, and, don't judge me too hard on this, I kind of thought the character of Owlan was hot for a video game character. He also seemed kind of personal, like he could be a people's person when he wanted to be, but didn't really share much, so I thought it'd be kind of cute for him to fall in love

The Peak of Adversity: Ironically enough, my inspiration for this story came from my all-time favorite fanfiction by Frejadour called Fate Favors the Fearless - in the story, Sheik is this sort of vagabond Sheikah member who comes to Hyrule to compete in the tournament, and he and Link become friends, and to me, Frejadour's depiction of Sheik was cool, so I went along with it, adding a few of my own little tweeks.

The Grass is Always Greener(I probably could've saved this title for an actual story with chapters, because it's cheeky enough fitting Beth's name into the title, but oh well.) ANYWAY: I never really kept up with The Walking Dead until recently, I'd only seen a few episodes every now and then, and I have this bad habit of picking a favorite male character from a show and a favorite female character and I always want them to end up together. So naturally, my two favorite characters were Beth and Daryl and I shipped them to no end. Then I started actually watching TWD and I found the part after the prison where they are together and I watched up until episode 5.08 (rest her soul) and then I wrote this story!

Noah's Ark: I was scrolling through Tumblr one day, and I saw a text post that really made me think. It said, "How will Daryl react when he finds out the person Beth died for is dead?" So naturally, I sobbed for a few hours and then really thought about it. The show never made any mention of how Daryl reacted to Noah's death, and I thought they would've because I really do think Beth died so Noah could be free. So given my disappointment, I decided to write how I thought he would've reacted.

But Damn: I've been watching That 70's Show since I was little, and I have been a Jackie/Hyde shipper since Day 1. I was really pissed about the ending to the show and all of season 8 in general because the new writers to the show totally ruined the show when they broke Jackie and Hyde up. I haven't really thought of an alternate timeline story where they either never break up or get back together in season 8, but I decided to write how I thought Hyde should feel at the end of the show about Jackie.

Memories: I am a day one shipper of Link and Zelda. They are one of my ultimate OTP's, and so I love the Legend of Zelda games that have a strong connection between Link and Zelda, even if it is not romantic. What I liked about Breath of the Wild is it not only had that strong relationship between the two, but you could depict the relationship in any way you please. They could be simple friends, he could be nothing more than her knight and she would treat him accordingly, or, Link could secretly be in love with Zelda, which is how I decided to analyze it. I figured an interesting way to depict this thought of mine would be through the memories that Link recovers throughout the game, so we can watch his love for Zelda gradually grow.

The Unexpected: (Legend of Zelda, Skyward Sword): Kahle is a student at the Knight Academy, and after forming a close friendship with Instructor Owlan, both of them realize it might be a little bit more than friendship. But Kahle's ancestry and blood status may jeopardize not only her relationship with Owlan, but her life as well. (beginning takes place 7 years before Link's quest) (INCLUDES GAMEPLAY SPOILERS)

The Peak of Adversity: (Legend of Zelda, Twilight Princess AU): Kahle and Sheik are two very different people. From opposite sides of Hyrule and with personalities clashing, they manage to find love despite each of their own arrogance. But when a freak accident causes both of them to be spiraled into their own separate lives again, can they find the hope to keep moving forward?

The Grass is Always Greener: (The Walking Dead, 5.08): The internal reaction of Daryl as he carries Beth's body out of the hospital after her death.

Noah's Ark: (The Walking Dead, 5.14): Daryl returns to Alexandria Safe Zone to find out that Noah is dead, and he reacts to it. He thinks about Beth.

But Damn: (That 70's Show, 8.22): Hyde thinks about Jackie and their relationship and how he regrets now only how he treated her, but how things ended and can never be fixed.
