![]() Author has written 3 stories for Misc. Comics, Bible, Twilight Zone, and Catcher in the Rye.
I've been here for several years and if you're looking for my print titles go hang out on if you want some of them. I was with Lulu for ten years until Legend Keeper had been written. I introduced Among Shadows here and will come by occasionally to see what everyone is up to from time to time. I've been a horror author since 1990 and been print published since my birthday as I turned 28 years of age. Seven time published as a solo author. So that would put me born on 1976 – do the math; I am a horror author predominately who took on Eric Hovind (this watch has the photo that debunked him.) I do believe in God but I like to write dark subject matter – ranging from wide range of subject matter and offer my blogs up for those who want some research. I am a bachelor looking for a possible wife (must be biological please; I am straight end of story on that one.) I am known for the science fiction story LAKE FOSSIL and horror is my main territory as original fiction was something I did out of the box as I always been an original fiction writer. At core I write original horror fiction and I will provide an ISBN to one of my recent works returned: GAME OVER as I can get the EAN13 for this one and you can find this. The Twilight Zone, King Kong and Poe fandoms you may never know who is watching and you will end up becoming published at some point. My new publisher the founder of the outfit wrote for the Universal Solder franchise as I will publish writers who have been active in public domain fandom or Twilight Zone fandom because there is a loophole within the fandom -- it's the one where original fiction shows up within the fandom as well as Masters of Horror (I am connected to one of the creators. I am a career author but also write horror as a way to keep myself amused when I do meta-fictional styles of the genre. I do like playing the role of the Roman a Clef narrator as The Statue did this and From These Eyes Of Abomination also did this.) Those of how who are aging fan fiction writers; you might give me a really fucked up look because I can come up with these ideas myself and don't borrow characters to create longer works. I will be doing an omnibus of Legend Keeper and Game Over plus other work so stick around. You might even see the nonfiction work I featured here too in that one. I have new stories as e-form and published with booktango and bookcountry as you can download these as they're the ones I want to be paid for writing I was with CreateSpace for a stint then got fired but joined up with a rag-tag publishing outfit out in Scottsdale, AZ then the free publishing team who Author Solutions are behind. I grew up in Roselle, Illinois, and Glendale Heights, Illinois. (In 2002 those of you who are active scholars in the Edgar Allan Poe fandom might be of interest in a creative nonfiction piece that's a spiritual successor to The Tell-tale Heart. My status as a cult writer was cemented two years before I was introduced on The House of Pain E-Zine as I appeared on Clive Barker's e-zine in 2000 as I am not influenced by him.) Learn more about Chicago if you're going to do stories that are set here -- look at the list of shows set in Chicago or Chicago in fiction. Learn our goddamned dialect if you are going to do a fictional Chicagoland resident. I write hardcore horror (don't bleep out hard here because it's in term of using extreme metal and hardcore punk. I have that hardcore style voice where I swear up a storm. My creative nonfiction breakout is back live -- The Pattern Of Diagnosis if you're a fan of Robin Cook and Michael Crichton with elements of David Foster Wallace thrown into the mix. It also appeared in the pages of Cinsearae's Dark Gothic Resurrected: Autumn 2007 as I also appeared with a young writer who had a huge hissy fit about wanting out of Tabloid Purposes IV. When I found his story being the lead it broke a lot of the major rules in my imprint as he's now giving this away on .) I have views akin to Ted Nugent as I do believe homosexuality is morally wrong -- if I see it shoved down my throat I will say something and it's not exactly politically correct. I am here where I do all my freebies in full html np1976[.]codexed[.]com make yourself at home. I am working to get everything back in circulation and that's a total bitch -- publication was something I sought out since I was 20 years old and been published online in some form and written for subculture tinged columns off and on up to getting published for Gruesome Cargo in The House of Pain E-Zine. Read the five year memoir, An Eye In Shadows (now with The Book Patch and ex-contributor got me kicked off CreateSpace and I am also working with Booktango where I have longer work there too.) You will get a feel where I came from as I am bullied by fannish types because I write original work. I am one of the publishers who has an uneasy relationship with the fannish types; but I do offer cool ways to crowd fund anthology projects such as this one. I've been at this years and you don't want me starting a review with "I want to talk to you: From Published Author to Fannish Hack, or I want to talk to you: From Original Fiction Writer to Fanwriter" that's when you know you're in trouble with me. My contributors Fred Wiehe and Nicholas Stember and I weighed in at length over the years on the subject (Fred was the most vocal recently but Stember and I chimed in just as I was establishing Lake Fossil Press. Redefining horror and science fiction fandom is what I do -- fans writing original horror fiction influenced by the eras passed. http:// allows you to even analyze your writing style.) Am a publisher and published -- the one story if you want it you need to talk to my classmate Brendan Kane first as this is his character. Dave of Tales of the Talisman wanted this one when he first seen it written; it was the first time I did science fiction under 2000 words. (If you can convince Brendan to publish his artwork with this story, you can publish this together. Other words -- if you can't get his permission, I will let it be a free read. That's his work I am featuring with this.) The other one Barbed Wire Crown I own the characters so have fun. I will sell this for reprint rights if you want it; but you want to publish my work I retain all the rights to everything I write and they're my characters so yeah go for it. If you are fan fiction writer -- and you have work that's 2800-4700 words or longer; I will ask if you have any original work that's the same size and will publish that. Nikki Little kind of missed the boat on this one. That's the exchange if you want to be published -- show me an original work that's equal size to your fanworks; you will see the second copy when print is ready and get pdf copies of the publication/journal. If you're quite serious about publication -- it's a huge step. I am an original fiction writer who does meta-fiction and creative nonfiction (what you see with the Catcher in the Rye crossover piece; that's nonfiction if that's allowed. I had outed Christine Morgan in 2008 when I did the article "Examining the Blogosphere as I revealed she was producing illicit lit since my website's first emergence and then had the gall to bastardize my first science fiction title then tap my baby's momma as a contributor. Not a professional way to do business lady, just a quick way to open old wounds and piss me off.) I am a freelance writer meaning I will write what magazines will range for creative journalism; meaning if you are a creative nonfiction outfit I am for hire though if you submit for you better have $3 ready for their reading fee. I had seen my share of rejection letters over the years I have ushered two from the Edgar Allan Poe fandom on this site in 2007 in the pages of Issue Five as they saw my original outing on as I placed 5th in a competition of 200 authors, the hardest R-rated horror story to place to boot. I wonder what the OTW will make of those who play with creative nonfiction and do things where it combines horror elements. If you're offered a chance to be published take it -- stay in contact with your publisher at all possible. That's what I am saying to the one who is known as John on here; get to know your TOC mates as one of them occasionally writes for . I am openly critical of those who do fan fiction stories over 100,000 words like my contributors are; they are not fans of fan fiction -- I examine fanfiction stories about the size of my own mid-range work in the original territory or creative nonfiction range. Creative Nonfiction for me I can do a full length work as I did two full lengths. I could never write a novel where the characters are not mine to begin with -- Cthulhu Mythos I am a certified author to write this by Arkham House and been a columnist for . I am known to do it as close to Lovecraft; sometimes I am too close in style to him as I studied his work to write Gothic Horror. I don't understand the fan fiction writer's world to be honest; it's been weird to me since I joined here in 2004. I do hang out on as I am in the top 25% of the writer/bloggers on (one of my personal friends is connected to a voice actor with Lucasfilm and I am connected to one of the original alumni of Friday the 13th. Found me while I was developing Tabloid Purposes 3. Dustin Diamond had connected up me when I was doing Tabloid Purposes II -- and he really hates being called Screech. I am more like the real life counterparts to their characters they play -- I am more like Jahel White than Steve Urkel though I was nerdy; I was very smooth with the ladies when I was in my twenties though my ex-fiancee would scream 'misogynistic asshole.' The joke in the memoir reflects this -- we're more like Dustin than Screech.) I rarely post here because everything I do is mine but will get a unique idea and borrow from The Twilight Zone fandom for delivery device. These writers you see more original authors sneaking in it's got the most loopholes for original work and I will talk to CreateSpace about doing media tie-in submissions as you see it pop up but don't do what one did and self-published a Star Wars novel. If you do FanFiction from Lake Fossil I publish it as in it only is allowed in print only as in Xing if you are listening do not post a database on my work on here because I don't make a lot of money for being a writer -- where the Cthulhu Mythos fandom really pissed me off because I am a Lovecraftian Horror author. (See my in depth special report talking about this -- when I see short stories the size of my originals that are fanworks, those are the ones I am encouraging to try an original work or creative nonfiction. Take the time and watch this video as this is coming from someone who has been published for short form work. I don't understand you fanwriters who do long form work when established current copyrighted characters do not belong to you to begin with. I would rather be celebrated for doing Creative Nonfiction than doing a fanfiction work and get celebrated for a longer form story where the characters are not mine. Cthulhu Mythos I really don't mind contributing to it -- but there is always an original idea you can throw in there. If you have the twenty minutes to play this video what I say is sincere but if you are telling me to fuck off; you really don't want me insulting you on par to what they call Nickelback.) I am known for Tabloid Purposes and you can learn more about each publication on . I can't stress enough to support independent authors and musicians as I found something for you Star Wars fans; my cousin by marriage found this one. Heavy Metal helped create my anthology series as I immortalized Pantera in this anthology. Information on this anthology is listed below as I have one of my magazine issues back in print -- the one where I was published on the newsstand with a true paranormal account is had like Cthulhu had awakened. Issue Five, Tabloid Purposes II and Quakes and Storms saw me publishing writers from here -- two emerged from The Edgar Allan Poe Fandom; Trent Roman was from here too originally who went to writing originals and hasn't looked back. The issue that caused the most controversy of my magazine is Issue 10. I am an online pioneer as I've been online since the age of 20 and was published online since I was that age; I haven't posted a story here in a while since the way they changed the layout because I used to be able to do the single space paragraphs on here – you can catch me on facebook.com as I have articles on there too so go follow me if you want to see my public postings. I will be hanging with some of you on here from time to time as I was 26 when I joined you guys. You caught me one year before I was published and just as had been going through some growing pains. Welcome to the proverbial dark parking lot that is my mind. This bio you will see on FictionPress.com as I am a published author and a publisher; I am the goto when you're a fanfiction writer who wants to crossover into being a published author/original fiction writer. I was with FictionPress.com since March of 2003 and I joined here about 10 months later. My story The Statue was a very talked about story when I introduced it because it was a debated being it was either original or fan fiction.I had some asshole flagging The Statue, Ghosts of War and Sherlock Holmes and The Great Old Ones because they were "too original" because I picked apart one of his stories on here. Ghosts of War took an original idea for The Crow and gave it a patriotic spin. I had a character named Pym where he was getting revenge for his brother as Nazi's killed him in war. The Statue was quite original where I was the stand-in for Rod Serling for the first time as I am prone to play Rod Serling's role sometimes introducing a horror story. Wandering In Darkness, The Room Mate, and Stygian Dealer I was a main character. Not a Gary Stu as you fandom writers say but sort of the real life version of the everyman. That's a known device I use in horror the educated everyman. This one made waves and I almost had James O'Barr himself illustrate one of my novellas -- When Angels Wept Blood had a similar idea to The Crow, love separated at death but gave it a fanbase for those of This Present Darkness but it was really hardcore for an urban fantasy yarn. I don't understand the fan fiction writers who get celebrated for over 111,000 word pieces that the characters don't belong to them. I will encourage fan fiction writers of horror to try their hand at original work. It was an original story with fan fiction traits as I broke in writers who write in the Twilight Zone fandom – I wish they didn't do a Cthulhu Mythos one because I am a Lovecraftian Horror writer predominately. Original Horror is my main territory but I will go looking for loopholes in fandoms to screw with originality. Trent was the second writer I published from this site as he followed in my footsteps on as he was introduced in my controversial Quakes and Storms: A Natural Disaster Anthology. Jason Andrew was another who was part of the roster for two tenors on Tabloid Purposes and came on for Issue 12 as I am making 12 available again but editions of CreateSpace versions of 3 he might be cut. You can see my article "Am I Making This Up?" on my journal as I write more epic longer horror stories and blogs that are in quite in depth -- if you are a writer who wants to do anthologies; hit me up on and I will talk to you about doing a showcase as I run The Ethereal Gazette and own Lake Fossil Press. (You can follow me here publicly and connected with me on . I have almost as many followers as Kevin of on there as he wasn't too pleased by me replying with a painting of Obama Burning The Constitution -- man that painting rocks; it inspired the tone of writing Legend Keeper. It gave Legend Keeper some real venom.) You can also find articles on my author page on facebook.com. I am a museum curator as this comes to your home -- go click here to learn more about this one. I do have a so go see me there (my company is the public display name as Lake Fossil Press how I show up on .com too when I pay editor's choice.) I was here a few months before becoming published with The House of Pain E-Zine as I will have material up on various places too as I am looking to submit around again. You want to see one of my more recent near 5000 word entries check out Steeplecase as this is a freebie on the journal -- I don't get any funding outside of my disability check so donations on the journal are encouraged as that's the publishing budget. I will talk with CreateSpace about policies about publishing short stories that are media tie-in stories (I want to do publish something that's a tie-in; the closest to this is my first namesake as I looked up how some of the stories had been adapted to film.) When I do horror - I have a lot of serious venom behind it too. Catch up with me on as I've been with them as long I was on here -- Psyche of a Bipolar. You want Tabloid Purposes IV see it here and if you have a account I do offer discount codes. I will write RPH (Real Person Horror) as Wandering In Darkness (found here. The oil painting on the cover is based on my work,) The Room Mate, Stygian Dealer, Fandom Writer II, and Legend Keeper I will do this at my own expense. When you do this -- you must use similar rules to Creative Nonfiction so you don't get in deep shit; but sometimes you do get in hot water with controversial themes. I am not immune to the horror I write as you will see Issue 9 re-emerging when you do RPH that merges with creative nonfiction sometimes so you see it overlap. I will not touch m/m or f/f with ten foot pole as a publisher or a writer. If you see f/f from me it's a brutal fight scene between two females -- no catfights but a Tekken/They Live style brawl. I will pop on here to see how everyone is doing every now and then. I was published in Tales of the Talisman 2.1 and 2.4 -- been teamed up with Tom Kelly on Tales of the Talisman and was published on their sister mag a year earlier. I do have a forum up on FictionPress.com so if you want to hang out go there and you can sign in as your profile. Gets you blocked: Insult the Lake Fossil Press roster any mention of the bastardization going around. Disrespect any of my posthumous writers on roster as one of them recently passed away. Calling me by my short name with the "y" chaser, it's my pet peeve. Call me a greaseball as I am Italian-American and use the more derogatory insults. Call a Lovecraftian Horror author a fan fiction writer in an earshot of me. Contact information: unclefossil@ (I prefer being e-mailed if you submit a manuscript. This is the new century so get with the program when it comes to submissions. I want to get submittable but that takes cash to do -- funding I don't always have.) I have a new story on Gutenberg and this is taken right from the news about an urban legend in Chicago as this our pet bull shark, Yest Ye Become One. Home on World Weird Web: np1976[.]codexed[.]com I approach heavy dark subject matter on it's own terms if you're an Atheist who can get past the fact that a Born Again Christian loves writing scary fiction not only scary but it's Stygian in the tone; we're going to get along great. |
