Author has written 16 stories for Dollanganger Saga, and Harry Potter. Edit March 17th, 2019. Happy St Patricks Day everyone! I just wanted to reassure those who miss me (and to be honest I'm surprised) that I'm still around. Thank you for the PMs and thank you to Scrappy who continues to review all my stories. I haven't updated lately because I've been working on a story for real that takes up most of my time between work, and other things. So these stories have taken a backseat as they are just fan fiction, and just for fun. To anyone who has left reviews, thank you for the constructive criticism, I'm learning loads from all of you, as well as review blogs about other books. I'm learning what not to put in stories. I've left a long explanation in the reviews of Ashley's Story as well. I'm not at all worried about that other author, so don't worry, it's not because of them. They haven't even bothered me for a while and I'm hoping they've forgotten about me. Anyway, I will try to update more, especially my Weasley adopts Harry stories, but right now I'm working on another story. I'll try to update soon though. Edit Dec 6, 2018: Happy 15th Fan Fiction Anniversary to me! At least it is right now when I am typing this. It may not be the 6th for you anymore when you read this, but I just thought this would be fun to write since I logged on today. When I created this account all those years ago, I didn't know I'd still love this site years later. Happy 15th birthday to anyone born today. Anyway, I wanted to add a disclaimer first while I continue to edit this profile and my stories. Someone sent me a PM about something, which I do think is a very valid point, and so I plan to add this to the first chapters of my stories when I can. They brought up the underage drinking and sex, and I'd like to say right now that I absolutely do not condone underage drinking or sex at all. Everything I write is based on from what I remember of my experiences, what I've read, saw on television shows, or gotten from my cousins and other teens I know. I don't want anyone to think that I think teens should be drinking or having sex. However, I do know it happens, and so when I wrote these stories that is what I was basing it on. If you're a teen, I truly hope you don't, and if you do, please be careful. If you don't, I am very happy that you don't. I also don't believe that people can meet the 'one' when they're teens either, but it can happen. I know a few people that are still together with their High School sweethearts, which is awesome. Only some of my characters do get together with the one, but a lot of them don't. I'm trying to make it a bit diverse. Hi, to anyone visiting my profile. I forgot all about most of these stories. My plan is to update them, especially the popular ones. At the moment, I am working on moving chapters of the New Beginning series, but that doesn't mean I won't be updating my other stories. New Beginning is basically done. So it takes less time to update it for those who don't want to go to my blog. I am well aware of the fact that people might not like it. So just ignore it if you can't stand OC's. I wrote New Beginning years ago, but then I moved it to a blog. I started this story just for fun while I worked on better projects. However, as much as it was just for fun, I grew to enjoy writing about these characters. So whenever I have writer's block on my real stories, or even when I am feeling stressed, I write about these characters lives. Many people might not enjoy this since it's OC and all but this story as bad as it might be, actually got me through stressful times. Whenever I was feeling upset, I would think about some happy things happening to them or even bad things. I would sit down, and write about them. I logged back onto this site recently and saw some recent requests for this story. So I've decided to resurrect it here since some people don't want to read it on my blog. I do really want you to check out my other stories though. I plan to start on The Love of a Family first, and I'd like to continue with Ron's first year as well. I don't know about Harsh Reality because I don't remember writing that story, so I have no idea what direction I was going to take it. For VC Andrews fans, I need to see where I was going with that story too. Even if you have no interest in my New Beginning series (and it's understandable) I am looking for OC stories to add to my community. They don't have to be the best you've read. I want to support any story that has OCs in it. Even if the OC's are just backgrounds characters. They do not need to be main characters. If the story centers around a main Harry Potter character but introduces OC's, I will add it to my community. I don't care if they are Mary-Sue characters or not. I am supporting them all. Oh, and they don't have to be just from Harry Potter, I just used that series as an example since mine are in that series. I'll take them from whatever series you find them in. New Beginning characters: Ashley- Ashley comes from a muggle-born family. She was raised by a single mother. She has an older sister who has no magical powers. She and her sister have different fathers, so she believes that her magic came from her dad somewhere down the line. When she first came to Hogwarts, she was not only a very whiny and negative character, but she was also insecure and timid. As she grows older, she becomes more confidence and stops whining. She stops being shy by the time she is a seventh year. All she needed was to find her talents, and have some good friends. She eventually realizes that looks aren't everything, which is her greatest insecurity. Ellen- Ellen is a beautiful young girl. While she is confident at times, she can be very insecure. She is a half-blood witch. Her parents are both muggle-born, and they'd gone into hiding during Voldemorts reign. The war had such an effect on her father that her parents end up getting divorced. Ellen and her brother Timmy live with their mother most of the time. Ellen goes through a very hard time as she grows up, but eventually, she begins to change and grows into more of a confident woman. She gets along with most of the people in her year, though she does have some enemies. Michael- Michael comes from a very poor muggle family. His parents are not old alcoholics, but they are abusive as well. Michael goes through a lot as he grows up and moves on from his upbringing. Even though his parents abuse him, they do send him to Hogwarts so that he can have a better life. It's free, and they have more money for themselves when he is not home. Michael works hard throughout the summers so that he doesn't have to use the school fund. He eventually becomes a well-rounded adult after many years of insecurities. Ben- Ben comes from a rich pureblood family. He feels he has a lot to live up to because everyone in his family was sorted into Ravenclaw, but he was sorted into Hufflepuff. He's worried that he isn't as smart as his siblings. Eventually, he realizes that he in the right house after all. He has a very competitive streak and works hard to get the career of his dreams. It takes a long while before he learns that school work isn't everything. About Barrys Story: When I first started this series years ago, it was supposed to be just Ashley I was going to write about. At first, I wasn't even sure what kind of universe she was going to be in either. However, after a while, I decided I really wanted to write an original character in the Harry Potter world, even though I knew it wouldn't be popular. I knew even back then that either I was setting myself up for flames, or else no fans at all. I really wanted to write it with her doing her school years after Harry's class left. A new class of first years after the war. I wrote out her character but then I decided I'd do stories from all of their points of views. It was never meant to expand beyond the four characters though. A year ago though, I decided I really wanted to write a story through another character's point of view about Harry's years. And yes, I do know it's overdone! It's why I debated on even doing it for the longest time, but again I kept thinking about it. At first, it was going to be one of the characters already established in the books. I hadn't even considered Barry, who is Ben's older brother at first. It wasn't until I was going over the characters when I did actually think of Barry since he's in Ginny's year. I already knew him well even though he's a background character in my New Beginning series. I know all of my characters really well, even Gretchen who seems to be a nightmare though there is more to her than anyone realizes. There are a few of my characters who come off horrible, but there is more to them that, but since it's through another character's point of view, we don't see that. Anyway, after a long debate, I decided on using Barry even though most people would frown on that. With Barry, I don't have to worry about him being out of character. With a background character from the books, I might have run into the problem of characterizing them or their friends wrong. I run into that problem already by using some of the Harry Potter characters in the books who interact with Barry. I did worry about using Barry because people might see him as a Gary Stu. Barry's character was created when I created Ashley's character. In fact, all of the Hoofer's were, and we were supposed to only know them through Ashley. The Hoofer family are all supposed to be really attractive and smart and also rich, so by choosing Barry I ran into the problem of creating a Gary Stu since he is rich, handsome, and smart. When I was writing Ashley's story, I'd written that Barry was supposed to be a ladies man. I never expected back then that he would become a main character. All the stories that have been spawned off the original story were never going to be written, but then I had ideas for their characters, and it blew up into what it is now. And while I wrote all those stories, I knew people likely wouldn't like them. Sometime soon, I might re-write these characters and put them into an original story instead of a Harry Potter fan fiction. Ashley's character needs to be fixed the most because I accidentally turned her into a Mary Sue and that was something I tried hard not to do. I just wanted her to grow from the whiny, insecure girl she was. I didn't realize I'd done that until I was re-reading it, and I found myself rolling my eyes at all the Mary-Sue traits she has. So the person who made a parody on my stories is probably spot on about calling them Mary-Sues, and so I'm not going to get bothered over it. |
