![]() Author has written 11 stories for Downton Abbey. I like words. I like the way one word can change the entire feel of a sentence, the way two put together can make a reader squeal with delight or gasp in horror. I like the nuances and shades of meaning. I like the sound they make all arranged precisely and purposefully in a row. So when I read I make noises. I like to review with meaningful comments, but I apologize in advance if the review says "OH!" perhaps one too many times. I like original characters, but I'm a little picky when it comes to AU worlds. I am an English teacher, so I have a pretty decent eye for grammatical mistakes (but I will be the first to admit that I may not be terribly great at catching them in my own writing, though I try. Please forgive me.) I primarily write Downton Abbey Robert/Cora stories, and I tend to gravitate to their younger years/pre-canon, though that isn't to say that the other characters don't make an appearance, that I don't read or enjoy other fics, nor that I'm not open to trying out other characters or canons. After all, I write all of this completely for fun. Oh, and it goes without saying, but I am not Julian Fellowes. I do not own any aspect of Downton Abbey, so due credit to Fellowes and his brilliance. Expectations is taking a quick breather, but just a nap - it shall be back, as is Lullaby (if anyone has a good prompt or idea that they'd like to share for any additional chapters to that one, I'd be grateful!). Current WIP is Things Given to Tomorrow. As always, thanks for reading/reviewing/favoriting/following/etc. :) Forever appreciative. |
