 Author has written 70 stories for Sherlock, Merlin, Doctor Who, Big Bang Theory, and Sherlock Holmes. I'm a long-time fan of Sherlock Holmes, and as much as I wish I was ACD, or either of Messrs Moffat or Gatiss I'm not .. so nothing belongs to me but my computer and my brain! I'm also a huge fan of "Merlin". I became a fan of the Arthurian legends when I was about 10 years old and I've read probably just about every version of the Arthur legend out there ... from "La Morte d'Arthur" to Persia Woolley's "Guinevere Trilogy" to Mary Stewart's "Merlin" series, even Guy Gavriel Kay's "Fionavar Tapestry". Seriously, if it's about Arthur, Merlin and the Knights, chances are I've read it. Needless to say, when "Merlin" showed up on my TV I was hooked! What I like about both Sherlock Holmes and Merlin is the epic friendship between Sherlock/John (or Holmes/Watson depending on the incarnation you prefer) and Arthur/Merlin. And I love the whole hurt/comfort aspect of stories; if I feel the need to give someone (Merlin, John, Sherlock) a hug at the end of a story, it's been a good story! |
