Author has written 7 stories for Winx Club. There's not much to say about me. I like reading and writing, much like most people on this site. I'll mostly focus on writing Winx Club stories. I have some ideas for other fandoms too, but something about Winx keeps me. I don't really feel the need to write for a lot of my fandoms, since I feel like I have nothing to add to them... but Winx is such a mess, that I just can't help but keep coming back. I'll also be trying to review more stories in the future! I am super busy at the moment, and probably won't be able to get much writing done until I get a significant amount of time off. But I shall not give up! I will try to get something done. Even if it's a stupid one shot. Name: Sanrii (har de har.) Actually, my real name starts with an E. However I quite enjoy anonymity, so that's all you get. Age: I've hinted at it. Above 16 but below 2112. :p is my favourite smiley. Current Avatar: Rei from Sailor Moon! At this point I've been inactive for well over 2 years, but I will return. I hope. I'm also on tumblr (where I'm sanriiofmanybadideas) and on deviantart (where I'm Sanrissa). Links are broken. Meh, it's not like I'm active there or anything. Finished Stories: Son of Eraklyon: A somewhat short story about Sky's battles with an assassin. Written because of frustrations with Sky's character. Bloom and Tecna Play Street Fighter: A tale of petty revenge, wherein a game of Street Fighter may or may not be a deciding factor. My first posted one-shot. I got some technical things wrong in the story, for example, the actual applications of wavedashing in Smash Melee, and Akuma fireball corner loops aren't as easy as what I described in the story. That said I don't think anyone who would actually read it cares too much about that, it's more of a thing that keeps me up at night. Random fact about me, my favourite fighting game is Tatsunoko vs. Capcom which wasn't even mentioned in the story, despite Bloom and Tecna playing on a Wii. Can't Say Good-Bye: A songfic written for Roxy Fan 4 Ever. It took me a million years longer to finish than originally expected, but it was a rewarding experience. Passing: A story about a conversation between Daphne and Bloom. This is also the basis for the storyline of where Winx would have gone if I were in charge of it. Work(s) in Progress I have a tendency to make edits to earlier parts of a story as I write it, but I try to prevent any changes from being too drastic. It mostly happens when I'm not entirely pleased with how things are turning out, or when sober second thought kicks in. Grasp of Obsidian: A prequel story to Winx, exploring the events of an earlier war against a more powerful Darkar, and the creation of the schools of Magix. OC heavy, with a main character named Alfea. I will try my hardest to update this story as often as possible. If this story ever gets jossed hard by the canon, I have an edit for the prologue on standby to hand wave it. Going back through this story, I'm not really all that satisfied with the earlier chapters. I start reaching satisfaction with it at about chapter 3: Fairy of Life and Death; the second half of that chapter in particular. Then I'm not all pleased with the rest until Chapter 7: A Fire Which Leaves No Ashes. I feel Mirsia's descent was a bit too rushed, since I cut out a lot, when I wanted to get the story moving. The stuff I cut may be used in an entirely different story however... Traitor Beasts: A story wherein the Winx teams up with a group of sentient machine animals called Konolento. Was originally meant to have longer chapters that would be updated less frequently than Grasp of Obsidian; it's a bit harder to write for me, since I'm more concerned with characterization and theming. As a result, it is on hiatus for now; a sort of publication break, as I write ahead, and try to finish other stories. Muryoku Ninjatai Patchaman: The silly story of what would have happened if the writers remembered that the Patchamen exist. In short, the universe begins destroying itself. This will not be updated frequently. I have an overarching outline for the story, but it's the specifics that slow me down, since I'm not good with forcing what I laughably call "humour." I write this story when I get stumped on my other ones, or when inspiration strikes me. Upcoming Works: The story where I go into where I'd have taken the Winx if I were in charge has yet to be made. The overall outline is finished (but for someone as slow as me, that means nothing). My stupid brain has also been toying with the idea of a season six rewrite, or – much more likely – taking the characters and setting and stuffing them into a whole new plot. Because I can't deal with the idea of coming up with motivations for character actions that the actual writers forgot to add. Either way, the Legendarium and Selina would still be involved. I'm also working on another "Bloom and Tecna Play" story. I'm also interested in telling the story of the Mario Party game they played in Bloom and Tecna Play Street Fighter, or at the other end of the spectrum, never telling that story, and having it be a noodle incident. And lastly, a JoJo's Bizarre Adventure story that came into my mind recently, when rereading part 5. I'm actually excited to finally have an idea for one of my favourite shonen. |
