I’m not writing as much as I’d like to - that sort of thing does tend to happen when one has a full time job - but I am writing.

Pen name: I was reading Patricia Cornwell’s book Portrait of a Killer: Jack the Ripper Case Closed (I highly recommend it) and when I came across one of the main suspect’s hundreds of aliases –“nemo”– I liked the word enough to stick “solus” in front of it, slap my knee and call out “Bob’s your uncle!” At the time I was in the self-loathing phase everyone goes through, thinking that “only no one” had to be the coolest pen name in the world. I stick with it because I happen to be very fond of the book I nipped half the pen name from.

Biggest dream: becoming a novelist.

Favorite things to write about: anyone with a distorted view on life, modern “art”, humility or the lack of it in the world, personal adversity, the supernatural.

Favorite villain: Severus Snape always and forever, though toward the end there he redeemed himself but I like me an evil!Snape better.

Sylar from the television series Heroes. I love his depth as a character even though it’s not yet being explored to the best of the writers’ abilities, but I suppose that leaves the door open for all the rest of us. I just hope I can do the guy some justice.
