Author has written 14 stories for Futurama, Star Wars, and Transformers/Beast Wars. Hello everyone, I'm Bendatron and this is my account. I joined this site ages ago because I like writing fanfiction (although I will admit, I've been going through a bit of a rough patch due to hardship reasons in my life right now). Currently, I'm working on two fanfiction series at the moment: Star Wars: Age of Rebellion: (My take on a sequel to The Clone Wars, set between Episode IV and Episode V) It has been about a year since the Death Star was destroyed, but the Empire shows little sign of weakening and they stop at nothing to destroy the Rebel Alliance once and for all. Taking Obi-Wan's advice by heart, Luke Skywalker has vowed to follow his father's footsteps and now fights along with the Rebel Alliance and a small band of Jedi survivors. But everything changes the day he meets his new partner, a young Togruta who claims to have once been his father's padawan. Together, along with Han Solo, Princess Leia Organa, Chewbacca, Rahm Kota, Admiral Ackbar, C-3PO, and R2-D2, they will fight the forces of the villainous Darth Vader who holds the strength and command of the entire Imperial army and various Dark Jedi; but unbeknownst to them, is a merely another pawn in the game of the Galactic Emperor, the shadowy and sinister Darth Sidious. Transformers: Gods Among Us: (My take on a Transformers series) The planet of Cybertron was once a peaceful world that lived in fairness and harmony, until Megatron and his Decepticons rose up and raged a brutal war that brought the planet to its knees. Now a desolate wasteland, Cybertron is nothing more than a cold and barren graveyard that is unable to produce life. As Autobot leader Optimus Prime and a small group of Autobots left the planet in a desperate mission to find the once thing that could revive their home, Megatron and his Decepticon minions set off after them and the two factions ended up on the planet Earth. Now stranded, their race has become a government secret as the two sides they continue to battle against each other along with mysterious foes and alongside unlikely allies. To my followers and fans who were enjoying my series, I am deeply sorry if you feel upset by this; I understand how you all must feel. The decision wasn't easy to make; but having spent some time away from this site to work and rework on my headcanon, my plans changed to the point that I felt that a revamp with a clearer vision in mind was more preferable. Star Wars: Age of Rebellion will incorporate the main plotlines and various arcs/episode ideas of Galactic Civil War with a more refined touch and I hope it will be well received by both new fans and longtime followers of my work. However, this will not be the end of Star Wars: Galactic Civil War; after finishing my prologue, I plan to finish Season Three of Galactic Civil War with my original plans in mind to hopefully offer some form of closure for my series for my followers. I have many great memories with the series and of my interactions with fellow users; but as I move on to bigger and grander plans, I'll give my followers one last ride with my series. And one day, my story will be continued and completed with Age of Rebellion. Transformers: Gods Among Us will remain the same and I will continue it as it is once I get back to it. Update (28/08/2020): Whilst writing the latest chapter of Star Wars: Age of Rebellion Prologue, I began feeling as if something was off. I couldn't put my finger on it yet it concerned me greatly and made writing increasingly difficult. Eventually after much brainstorming, I realised what it was. My original intention for my revamped series was to have three Jedi (Rahm Kota, K'Kruhk, and Rachi Sitra) present in the Alliance from the start alongside Luke in order to give the series some more experienced Jedi action and to help make the Rebellion even more of a threat to the Galactic Empire during the time period between A New Hope and The Empire Strikes Back. But while I was writing the latest chapter, I came to realise something: in A New Hope, Obi-Wan appeared to be the only active Jedi still alive and his presence was portrayed as something significant and rare; and whilst the pre-Disney timeline now dubbed Legends did clearly portray other surviving Jedi during and after the events of the Original Trilogy besides Obi-Wan and Yoda, having three Jedi appear out of nowhere would feel strange, out-of-place, and raise certain questions (i.e. where did they come from, why haven't they fully trained Luke etc.). Whilst I do have explanations for these questions that I plan to include in-series, I feel they would work better if they were shown onscreen instead of simply mentioned in passing. The Original Trilogy was primarily shown through Luke's eyes; if something big were to happen like meeting a surviving Jedi, his first meeting with them needs to be clearly shown. After thinking about it some more and discussing it with a fellow writer, I have decided to edit the three Jedi out of my previous chapters. To the readers currently following my series, I understand that my decision may be inconvenient and even upsetting to you. Since the Jedi were not present much in my already published chapters, the changes were not too drastic and did not impact their events too much. But as a heads up for those of you currently following the story as of this update, the most change my edits have done were to Chapter Six A New Mission as Leia and C-3PO meet Luke and the others at the shuttle instead of K'Kruhk and Rachi Sitra and Ahsoka has chosen to conceal her identity to the Alliance giving herself the alias of Ashla (a former smuggler who now wishes to join the Rebel Alliance) and only Luke, Han, Chewbacca, and R2 know who she really is. As for Kota, K'Kruhk, and Sitra; I still plan to include them in my series, but they will be introduced gradually with proper introductions for each of them that I think will complement and improve the character arcs I have planned for each of them. I know that my decision is not ideal, but I believe that delaying the Jedi's introduction just a little longer will help benefit the series better in the long run; and by having discussions with fellow authors, I hope to have clearer head when thinking out my decisions and to avoid making changes to previous chapters again. I thank you all for being patient; I really appreciate your support of my story thus far and I hope we can all have a good relationship moving forward. |
