Author has written 28 stories for Cause of Death, Hunger Games, Walking Dead, Grey's Anatomy, Supergirl, and Princess Diaries. About me: Hi! My name is Kimberly, but I usually go by Kim. I'm 20 years old and a senior in college. I'm majoring in advertising with a minor in psychology, and I love it! Other than writing, I enjoy long boarding, watching Netflix, doing anything artsy, spending time with friends and family, and sleeping. I don't get a chance to write every day due to lack of time, but I really enjoy it when I do have a spare hour or so. My writing isn't always on the cheery side since I like to channel my emotions into writing, so a lot of it falls into the genres of hurt/comfort or angst. I do write happier stories as well, though, and if you met me in person, I'm actually generally pretty upbeat and positive. But, as I said, writing is my channel, and I'll often take my frustrations out on and through the characters I use. Types of fanfiction I write: Below is a list of the different fandoms I have written (or plan to write) fanfic for. I included a brief description in case you are curious as to what the fandom's subject is about. Cause of Death: CoD was an interactive iOS game created by EA (the same creators of The Sims). I've played it for a couple years, and although EA has concluded its final volume, I am still in love with the characters and will therefore continue writing fanfictions about them. The game features the two protagonists, Malachi Fallon and Natara Williams (Mal and Nat) along with an ever-changing list of other main characters. Mal, Nat, and their co-workers are all detectives at the San Francisco Police Department (SFPD). Throughout the game, you play as one of the characters as they solve crimes and catch criminals. There's also a bit of romance thrown in, which is always great. My favorite fanfictions to write in the CoD fandom are Maltara (Mal/Nat) fluff, because they're just so dang cute! The Hunger Games: I'm sure pretty much everyone on the face of the earth knows or has heard of The Hunger Games trilogy, so I won't explain it—the general plot synopsis is easy enough to find out if you want to look it up. I've only written one original HG fanfiction as of right now, and I kind of left my second one (a re-write of Collins' books in Peeta's POV) up in the air. I may or may not finish it—we'll see. I ship Katniss and Peeta very hard, though, so I love The Walking Dead (Game): TWDG is an interactive choose-your-own-adventure written and produced by Telltale Games. It is set during the zombie apocalypse, where everyone is infected, and those who die (unless the brain is destroyed) turn into a blood-thirsty walker. I don't want to give any of the plot away, but I'll summarize the best I can without ruining anything. The first season features a man name Lee and a little girl, Clementine, he came across while escaping a horde of flesh-hungry zombies. It follows their adventures and quest for survival as they meet countless other characters. The second season is told from Clementine's perspective as she meets a new group and struggles to survive with them. The game is available on quite a few systems, and though I could purchase and play it on my iPod, I just watch walkthroughs on YouTube so I don't have to buy them. Grey's Anatomy: Grey's Anatomy is a popular medical drama on ABC. The lead female character, Meredith Grey, is the daughter of a very well-known surgeon. It's a bit hard to describe without giving things away, but the series follows Meredith's career at Seattle Grace Hospital from being an intern and on. Throughout the series, she meets and interacts with a lot of people that change her life. Some of the other main characters get central episodes, too, which allow you a better glimpse of the character. There's quite a bit of drama and medical things (hence the term "medical drama"), and there's some nice romance thrown in, too. Supergirl: Supergirl is a fairly new television series that airs on the CW. I've never read the comics that it's based off of, but I started watching it because Chyler Leigh (who played Lexie Grey on Grey's Anatomy) is in it. I absolutely love the characters and adventurous plot, and I've just recently started being comfortable enough with the characters to write some fanfiction. The Princess Diaries: Princess Diaries was one of my favorite movies growing up, and I recently rewatched it and remembered how much I love Mia and Michael together. Sadly, they don't end up married in the second one, but I'll always ship them. I'm not sure how much I'm planning to write for PD, but occasional Mia/Michael one-shots might be in order! Disclaimer: I've had a FF account since 2012 (when I was 15), and I am now 20. As probably expected, my writing from four years ago is significantly worse than what I write now. While I know it's great that I'm seeing improvements in my own writing, anything on here older than two years or so is probably not that outstanding. I re-read some of my old work and cringed the entire time, so please don't judge my writing skills based off of 15-year-old me. If you do decide to read anything circa 2012-2014, I apologize in advance for them not being very good. I don't want to entirely delete them since I think it is important to be able to see improvements, and hey, maybe someone out there will read it and find it at least somewhat enjoyable. Most of it is filled with horrible clichés, very predictable plots, and poorly-developed characters. You have been warned! |
