Author has written 18 stories for Lilo & Stitch, Alvin and the chipmunks, Planet of the Apes, Up, Monsters Inc., Pokémon, Misc. Books, Bible, Dragon Ball Z, Dragon Ball GT, and A Goofy Movie. I either like the most extremely kiddish thing that's well made, or the extremely complicated stuff that everyday people will not understand. My profile picture: More than half of america's male newborns had their genitals mutilated. Circumcision is probably the most invasive, unnecessary, and harmful procedure you can inflict on a child. It is a violation of human rights. Research it. Youtube it. There are thousands of people that wish they hadn't been circumcised. It should be a choice people make when they turn 18, not a decision made by parents. Important Thing: I am done with the one chapter per week system. To improve my skills writing I will be updating when I feel it is finished. If this doesn't work, I'm going back to my one chapter per week system. I like to keep my stories short. It makes them re-readable 'cause they're simple and straight to the point, but that doesn't mean they're not in-depth. I want to create something that would make hollywood jealous, and I think I'm almost there. I plan to write a story about Puss In Boots and what happened between him & Kitty Softpaws that made her not appear once on a single shrek movie. And somewhere along the line I want to make a Ratchet & Clank one about an upgrade Clank got and how it affected him. Idea for a story I'll probably never write: My writing process consists of writing down ideas as I brainstorm. I won't start writing until I already know the main events of the story, including the ending. Once I'm half way through the story I realize that half of the stuff I've written and most of what I have planned is stupid and immature, so I just stare at the screen and cry while I sip on some chocolate milk. Sometimes I realize that it's immature a little too late, sometimes even a month after I posted it. But eventually I go back and fix it. I've been told that I'm a little too fast-paced with my stories, it's just one thing happening after the other and that I should make them longer, but I honestly feel that would take away some of the impact I'm trying to create. I also try to make things as simple as possible, no matter how complex things are. The best piece of advice I could really give someone is something I read a while back, but I forgot who wrote it: "Why don't you start with the second paragraph?" There are some authors out there that focus on what they're saying instead of how they're saying it. This is a bad approach because it can become long, dull, boring, or repetitive. There are others that focus on how they're saying it, but not on what they're saying. This is also bad because it takes away from the believable aspect of it. Things have to stay as interesting, realistic, and in-character as the first paragraph of the story. I find this advice immensely helpful:
A good way to show what your character is made of is by having his intentions destroyed by reality, which he will then try to make up for with his actions in his own unique way. This website doesn't have enough MordecaixRigby (Morby), JakxDaxter (Jaxter), MeowthxPikachu (Krazyshipping), SulleyxMike, and RatchetxClank, but what else is new? We all just settle here. Here's the format I use for my writing:
