![]() Author has written 12 stories for Slayers, Final Fantasy VII, and Naruto. I know I promised to start writing last year at around this same time, and I never delivered. I feel bad about that. What some people don't understand is that being a writer is HARD. Extremely. It takes writers a long time to come up with ideas, longer to keep the ideas going. Sometimes there are no ideas at all. Sometimes you sit down to write, ready to write and stare at a blank screen for an hour before finally, FINALLY, getting the perfect sentence. Then to reread it and erase it and start all over. Sometimes it happens for such long periods at a time that writing becomes the furthest thing from your mind. I occasionally come back, read the stories I've posted, check out my reviews. Most of the time nothing has changed, no one's read, if they have they didn't leave a review. It gets a little discouraging, and I start to question whether I CAN actually write or if I just think I can. But this time was different. Today I checked one my stories and got a review that made me feel so flattered. I will post it now. Captured Moon chapter 4 . May 15, 2013 I just realized that in your summary you said these chapters connect, Goes to show how much my attention span works for me. Anyways, I'm glad you are. I love one-shots, but a good connecting story is a real treat. This is the probably the greatest comment I have ever received on a story. This review just validated my writing. It brought back my belief that I CAN write, and that I CAN write well. And that means a lot to me. So thank you Captured Moon, for inspiring me to start writing once again. And a huge thank you to anyone and everyone who has ever read or reviewed any of my stories. That means a lot, if I was able to entertain you, to intrigue you, to make you feel what the characters feel if I was able to make you see what I saw then I have done what I set out to do. That's a writer's greatest satisfaction. Please stay tuned for updates coming for Where The Heart Is and Between Light and Shadow. Possibly, some other short stories as well. “There is no greater agony than bearing an untold story inside you.” Rik |
