Ah...reading fanfiction at 4:30 a.m. is so fun...

Ha! I finished all ninety-one chapters in two days!

I've read a lot of Slayers fanfic, but have never been interested in the Zel/Ame pairing that much. However, I really liked this story. I like to imagine that villages the Woodwind flew over will tell stories of a flying house/ship/whatever, lol.

Oh my! why hadn't you finished this story? I want to see Lina and Gourry wedding...

anyway, it was a great work! thank you for the story, I really enjoied the time spent reading it.

Hi! The Dead Zone you mentioned is a novel written by Stephen King. I never saw the show but simply loved the novel. I really hadn't thought about the meaning of the barrier. It's fitting the way you put it out. It probabily wasn't put on just to keep the people inside, but to weaken the white magic also! I wonder why I never thought about it.

Let me just be another to tell you that your labor of love is fantastic. It is VERY satisfying. and it's totally believable and in character for the way you have written them. Anything they do that they would not normally do in the show is explained, and it all works out perfectly.
