Author has written 1 story for Percy Jackson and the Olympians, and Avengers. Hey guys, I'd like to tell you guys why I chose the name praetorlup as my user name. And let me tell you this because I had an eye on the symbolism of the wolf. And just to warn you guys, I'm not a twilight fan. I first got the name from Harry Potter, well the name Lupa from Lupus, which later lead to me liking Greek mythology. JK Rowling used a bunch of names from Greek mythology to write her book, and from learning from my wonderful teacher, most of her spells she created were in the language of Latin. Her entire book was set in an incredible way, mixing up words to create strange names, using mythology as her characters, Latin as the spells. She was incredible, and I hope to become a writer similar to her ways. With names comes great power, I like any character of mine to have a significant name thanks to her. I did some research on what to call a character from a book I'm writing. Filipino worked best for me. Also ancient languages such as Latin or the Old English. I typed looked up the word 'Protector', and came up with the word Praestus. And since I had such an awe inspiring connection with the wolf animal, I joined the two together to create the praetorlupa account. It didn't end there, I later learned that a series called the Mortal Instruments had something similar, if not the same, name. I just joined two words together because I thought I was being smart. I had no idea that what I just put down was called the "Wolf Guardians" or something like that. And to make matters more great, the Hero's of Olympus also had the words Praetor and and wolf goddess Lupa. Seems there are a bunch of great author's out there with the same thinking pattern. I hope the stories I write here, crossovers or not, will signify what I'm trying to become. (And you know, this feels like I just wrote some sort of essay! Ha ha!) Well, until next time! |
