I have been an avid reader since I was old enough to hold a book (I have 8 bookcases in my house, but only one TV). :)

I have also been a longtime fan of role-playing games since I was a teenager. My biggest favorites from the last few years are the Dragon Age and Mass Effect series. Bioware rocks!

I began reading fan fiction for a year or two, and now wish I had started earlier as it brings together these two things that I really love. I have also been inspired by the great stories and authors here and from the Cheeky Monkeys.

I have 2 wonderful children who are both now grown and moved out, so now I find myself with more time to pursue some of my personal interests and this site has become a new favorite pastime. I have been married for more than 20 years to an amazing man who makes me so happy and has the best (and sometimes worst) sense of humor. I have to say that one of the reasons I love the character of Alistair so much is that he reminds me of my husband!

I work for a bank (but am not a banker), and my job occasionally requires some very long hours. If anyone posts a comment or review and I don't respond right away, or if my postings are sometimes far apart, I apologize ahead of time and shamelessly blame my job!

Update (April 2014): As I thought might happen, my work has kept me too busy for much writing in the past year. I apologize to all the wonderful people who followed, favorited or simply enjoyed my story. I have posted a new chapter for Watching Like a Hawke, and have finished Chapter 1 of A Hawke in Flight (to be posted soon). While I cannot promise that my updates will be regular, I am going to try to update at least one of my stories (or post a one-shot) every month.
