Hey, all. Welcome to my profile page :).

Who am I? A young girl with a lot of interest, chief among which is currently writing. I know I'm not extremely talented or anything, but I would very much appreciate if you could take a look at some of my stories. The newer ones tend to be better; I (like to think that I) have improved quite a bit at writing over the last year or so, not that that's saying much.

My Interests:

Books: I'll read just about anything, provided the quality of the writing is good. Currently, my favourite books are The Fault in Our Stars (John Green), the Mistborn Trilogy (Brandon Sanderson) and the Kingkiller Chronicles (Patrick Rothfuss). If you have any book recommendations, feel free to let me know! I'm always on the lookout for good books.

Music: Again, just about anything goes :). In particular, I like classical music and Alternate Rock, but I'm willing to listen to most genres. My favourite bands include Evanescence, Poets of the Fall, Imagine Dragons, Within Temptation, Trading Yesterday and Broken Iris. I often use music for inspiration when I'm writing.

Video Games: Ok, first off; I don't actually play video games. But, you're probably thinking, aren't you working on a fic for Final Fantasy 7? Why, yes I am. What happens is that occasionally a video game catches my attention on the internet, and then I'll watch a cutscene compilation for it. With FF7 I saw a lot of AMVs for it using songs I liked, so when I saw a cutscene compilation for Crisis Core I clicked it and from there on I was addicted. The main video games I'm interested in/know stuff about are Metal Gear and Final Fantasy.

Fanfiction: Since I'm on this site, obviously I read fanfics. My main condition is just that it has to be from a fandom I know something about.

Pairings: I'm not a huge fan of slash. Not inherently against it, it's just that it rarely seems to be well-written. For the main part I like all canon pairings; as for AU couples, well, I guess it just depends on how plausible the author can make them.

In general, I don't like things to be too AU; I prefer fanfics that can show a new perspective on the already existing story. However, that's not a definite rule with me - just a vague preference. Some of my favourite stories are very AU.

I don't like things that are too graphic. I just... prefer to stay away from that kind of stuff.

I'm not a big fan of OCs. Not saying they can't be done well, and sometimes they're necessary, but I don't like to read fanfics centered completely around them.

If you want to see what fics I like, have a look at my favourites. In particular, blacksand1's stories (esp. the Metal Gear ones), Making the Cut, and The Fifth Act. Honestly, I'm amazed at how talented some of the writers I've seen on here are.

My Writing

My main weakness in writing is action scenes. Occasionally I make some small spelling or grammer errors; please don't kill me over them, I do my best. My strength tend to be writing in-depth character thoughts and emotions and character interactions. However, I could use some improvement on just about everything, so if you have any advice at all, don't hesitate to let me know! In general, I'm grateful for every review I get.
