I'm an insomniac with a love for writing and a weakness for tragedies. I usually like writing my own stories, but right now I'm working on a Lily/Snape fanfic, Always. There was just something about them that made me want to write their story. Their relationship has so many possibilities and unanswered questions about what it had been and what it could have been. Since JK Rowling never revealed those answers, I decided to try.

A few of you asked that I keep you updated on my progress because my updates have been so sporadic lately. I'll do my best to try to let you know here and on my tumblr.

UPDATES

8/5- I'm alive. I'm sorry for vanishing without an explanation, but my family has been going through a difficult time, and I had to disappear for a while. I wrote a rough draft of Chapter 120 a while ago, and I'll be looking it over (or rewriting it) next week. I'm sorry again for making anyone worry, and thank you for all the messages/reviews. It's honestly really nice to know that people haven't forgotten this story, and I hope I can make it up to you with the next update.

CURRENT FANFICS

Always (beta-ed by sparklyscrunchies from Chapter 83 to present- thank you!)

DESCRIPTION- After all this time? Always. The friendship of Severus Snape and Lily Evans.

STATUS- Over halfway finished. Will be over 100 chapters. Hopefully under 200.

Always is the fanfic that I update the most frequently, partially because I've already written so much, but also because the friendship of Severus and Lily has fascinated me more than anything else in HP history. This will be far the longest one, hopefully not much longer than one hundred chapters when it's finished. It takes place from the day Lily and Severus met until the day of Severus's death.

Note- The early chapters are in dire need of editing and I plan to go over them eventually. As of Chapter 83, my beta, sparklyscrunchies, has helped tremendously. If you are in need of a beta, I highly recommend asking her for help.

Abomination

DESCRIPTION- Blood traitor, abomination, shame of their flesh... The tragedy of Sirius Black.

STATUS- In the beginning. Will most likely be around 25 chapters, but too soon to tell.

Always has a few small story lines with the minor characters and while writing the character of Sirius Black, I became more and more eager to write his story. He started out as a lighter character, but once Regulus arrived at Hogwarts, he showed another side to his personality, one that fascinates me, which led to the creation of this fanfic. It won't be nearly as long as Always, hopefully far less than half, but I really wanted to capture the moments of Sirius's life that explain why he turned out to be the way he did. I also wanted to write about how the loss of James affected his later years.

Hero

DESCRIPTION- He wanted to be brave like his father. He was until the very end. From toerag to hero... The transformation of James Potter.

STATUS- In the beginning. Will most likely be around 25 chapters, similarly to Abomination.

This will also have scenes from Abomination and Always. I'm excited and dreading to write James's story for the same reason- he's James and people tend to love or hate him. My goal is to be as realistic as possible and make James somewhat relatable. I know some people seem determined to make James the villain, but it's stated that he did change and he did grow up. I really don't think JKR would have made him end up with Lily if he were an evil monster, especially considering her comments toward Draco Malfoy's real life fan girls. I'm going to try my best to show how James could have possibly transformed into the man that Lily eventually fell in love with. There will be plenty of his good and bad moments, so even if you hate him, I hope you still give this story a chance. You can always cheer at the end when he dies.

The Beginning

DESCRIPTION- Some say magic is a gift. Others deem it a curse. For Morgana Pendragon, it was the reason why she won everything until she lost it all over again. It's the reason why she'll always fight, until the very end. Armor.

STATUS- Complete.

The Beginning is my first attempt at Merlin and second person. I really wanted to explain why Morgana became the way she did, but also, I was inspired the series 4 finale confrontation between Morgana and Arthur. I've been a huge Armor fan since the first episode. I've been really annoyed with how they handled it. The Arwen relationship seems so forced and is just painful to watch. I'm not even going to get started with how much Gwen annoys me. I was close to giving up on Merlin but I kept watching because I was sure there had to be at least one Armor confrontation. It turned out that I was right and that less than two minute scene in the finale won me over again and inspired me to write. I might do a longer Armor fanfic or another one shot one day, but unless I become really inspired again, my goal is to finish my Marauder series.

The more I write of Always and Abomination, the more it makes me realize that I really want to do a Marauders Era series. If I ever get around to doing this, they will be Abomination sized; there's no way that I'm going to create another Always. Like Abomination, they will be connected to Always and will share similar events even though the characters' perspectives will vary. I wrote a list of possible future fanfics. If I plan on publishing them, I'll change the status. If I do write these, I will not be updating them as frequently as Always, at least not until Always is finished. That is my first fanfic and my priority, and even though it's turning into a monster of a fanfic, I'll finish it someday. Hopefully.

FUTURE FANFICS- ON HOLD

Monster/Werewolf (title/description may change)

DESCRIPTION- Without a cure to be found, he was alone until he met them. The best and worst times of Remus Lupin.

STATUS- Unknown. Will most likely be around 25 chapters.

Remus is not my favorite Marauder, but he's not my least favorite. I like writing tragedies though, so it'll be interesting to write him a happy life before killing off his friends.

Traitor (title/description may change)

DESCRIPTION- He could have died rather than betray. He chose to betray. The betrayal of Peter Pettigrew.

STATUS- Unknown. Will most likely be around 25 chapters, but it's Peter Pettigrew, so I'm guessing less.

This is the fanfic that I'm most reluctant to do, that I'll only do if I ever publish the others since it's going to annoy me so much if he's the only Marauder missing. I usually mention him less than the other Marauders because 1. I want him to be overshadowed and 2. I just don't like him that much. It's not the fact that he sold out his friends; actually that's most likely what I find most interesting about him. It's more that I see him as a spineless follower and I really don't like spineless followers, especially the groveling ones. I don't think I can write more than a few chapters of him following James and Sirius around, but I'll try to put my own twist on it to make it more interesting for me.
