Author has written 3 stories for Rurouni Kenshin. NOVEMBER 25, 2015 - Hello again! Tomorrow is Thanksgiving and, while I won't be able to get a turkey here in Japan, I CAN still tell all my readers past, present and future that I am thankful for YOU. Please check back shortly for a little present to mark the beginning of the Christmas season! All is well here. I'm living and working in Yokohama now with a transfer request in for either Osaka or Kyoto for the start of next school year. I will keep you posted on that as well as my original fiction. A sequel to the Dark Space Between is in the works, and I've also begun a new project entitled The Witch of Iwate, inspired by my love of Rurouni Kenshin. It's gonna be big. All my holiday love! MAY 20, 2015 - It's been a while since I've updated everyone! I'm happily here in Japan now, living in Fujisawa. I DID IT! Dreams really do come true. It's a real challenge, but I learn more every day and adapt a little bit with every new experience. I'm lucky to have the friends that I do - when I'm not working or writing, I pass my time having wild adventures - life is full of karaoke, shrine and temple hopping, hiking, photography jaunts, taiko taiko taiko, and plenty of delicious food. Bring on the onigiri! I have a lot of plans for my writing, so please stay tuned. The next and final chapter of ItMH will be up by the end of the week...then it's onto the next one! I'm working on a sequel to my original fic The Dark Space Between, and I have some plans for another Kenshin fic in the works. In the meantime, all my love OCTOBER 15, 2014 - Howdy, ya'll! I PROMISE I HAVEN'T FORGOTTEN IN THE MIDNIGHT HOUR. I've been very busy lately working with the local Japan Culture Center. We're preparing for an event happening very shortly - the venerable Eitetsu Hayashi will be coming to my hometown and putting on a taiko performance with his crew! Our group is hosting them and there's so much to be done. It's going to be a wonderful time! Also, on story things: I'm having trouble deciding if there will be two chapters more and an epilogue, or just one and an epilogue. I'm doing lots of outlines and shuffling parts of the story around like a puzzle...I promise, promise, promise, an update is forthcoming. Until then, remember my original fiction is up on Kindle and Amazon through the links below. It's my birthday month so I'm running a kindle promo right now - $2.99 for a kindle copy! Please take a peek and see if it's something worthy to tide you over wile you wait for the conclusion of the LONGEST-TIME-BETWEEN-UPDATES A/M FANFIC EVAR. All the love... JULY 31, 2014 - The Dark Space Between has been submitted to Amazon for review. It should be up for sale in e-book format in the next 24 hours or less. I will keep everyone posted. And maybe make the announcement with a Chapter 24 update for ItMH? XD UPDATE: Kindle is up! More countries to come! JULY 27, 2014 - Thank you for all your patience with In The Midnight Hour! We're almost at the end, kids! Just a few more chapters to go. While you're waiting for the next update, keep busy with my original stuff. BECAUSE, OH YEAH, I JUST PUBLISHED MY FIRST REAL, ORIGINAL FICTION BOOK. The Dark Space Between by K. Baisley! Get it here: OCTOBER 6, 2013 - If anyone is peeking at my profile: new chapter of In the Midnight Hour before...well...midnight EST! Brace yourselves. IMPORTANT UPDATE! (AUGUST 19, 2013) Hi all! Long time, no chat. Just here to give you an update. I'm back from Japan and have been so busy that I've been having a hard time updating In The Midnight Hour. I AM FINISHING IN THE MIDNIGHT HOUR. I AM NOT ABANDONING THE STORY. I got back from Osaka at the end of April and have been in a tizzy ever since. Kansai is my future home. I'm convinced of this. As such, I've been working non-stop to save some money and pay down some bills. I've also enrolled at a local university and will be taking Japanese in the Fall. At the same time, I have been asked to be a bridesmaid in my dear friend's wedding. I've known her since I was two! It's been a little wild, but the wedding is September 7th and I am so happy and excited for her that I can hardly stand it. I am one of two bridesmaids and as such the usual burden borne by we two is a little heavier than usual (I've never been in a wedding with fewer than five!). My apartment is also undergoing major renovations and I am never sure when my "free time" is going to be taken up by last minute visits from contractors. AND as if this wasn't enough, I have been invited to be a part of a local music blog. I just wanted to assure everyone that I am working and typing as fast as I can in order to continue to story and bring it to its amazing and hard-earned end. I hope to update with the next chapter of by August 23rd. That said, I have a company picnic AND bachelorette party this Saturday the 24th, so it all depends on how much I can get done before then. You've been more than patient - it's been a seven year road as of this month, but the story is still as fresh as the day it came to me. If you've been with me all along THANK YOU. I appreciate your loyalty ad love more than you know. You can keep in touch with me through Twitter (I am the Wordsmithninja ... you can search me by my pen name K. Baisley). I often post previews and 140 character snippets of In the Midnight Hour there, and you can also get to know the REAL Nascha14. So until the big update, scribble on, my friends! -Nascha |
