I'm an experienced writer who's been ficcing it up since before fanfiction.net was around. Unfortunately, the anime and manga world seems to have permanently gone in the direction of school dramas and overly hyped pirates and ninjas, leaving poor sci-fi/fantasy fans like me who love a multi-disciplinary story with a touch of romance in the dust. The first thing to strike my fancy in a long time is Avatar: The Last Airbender, so I'm back to the hairy world of fanfiction.

I'm a wacky sort who walks the line between not giving a damn about the details and extreme bouts of no-comma-left-behind OCD. I'm not a visual person, so description is the hardest thing for me to write. But I feel I have a decent ability to get into a character's skin, which helps for character-driven pieces like what I tend to write.

Despite not being a very romantic person in the real world, I'm putty in the hands of a well-crafted, warm-and-fuzzy fic. I can't really describe the thrill I get writing these things. Not all my stories will be romantic, but probably most will have a subtle romantic bent to them. I often prefer subtle romance to overt; sometimes the suggestion of a thing is more tantalizing than the thing itself.

I don't have a lot of time on my hands, so short vignettes are very attractive to me. I love watching a show and then telling the underside of it; the parts the writers/producers/directors didn't have time/didn't want to show. I like to nudge the story here, twist it there, burnish it a little to explain some side point or develop the characters a little more. Maybe I was an editor in a past life, but I can't meditate and make shiny versions of my old self float out of my body, so I guess we'll never know.

Anyway, constructive criticism is always welcome. Flames will be mocked, if people even bother to do such things anymore. Hope you enjoy my fics!
