![]() Author has written 4 stories for Twilight, and Bloodlines Series, Richelle Mead. Find me on: 30. Wife. Mom to three. Dabbler. Graphic artist. Pre-reader. Beta and Mod. Prefers non-canon pairings with the characterizations canon. Reading and writing are my passionate indulgences. I'll do either when I can find the time. I wholeheartedly believe the majority of writers are made and not born, as well. It's a learning experience, a damn exercise. You kwim? Read that sentence again if you don't or when you get disheartened. Because of PTB, I've learned so much about writing, and I'm not just talking about punctuation and grammar. They edited Chapters 1-9 of IL&W after the chapters were posted, but along the way they really helped me as a writer for Chapter 10 and onward. I hope it goes to show how much a good beta and listening to those amazing women could do for not only a story but also for a writer. I'll write about his time with the Cullens, as well as his time with the Volturi in IL&W, and maybe even when he sees Maria again in Calgary. This is more of an IL&W Novella, not its outtakes. Jasper has a big part in the story, and TWW gives a different and deeper dimension to IL&W's themes. * THE THOUGHT THAT COUNTS * First, IL&W readers beware. This OS is nothing like IL&W and has nothing to do with the story. Second, in my "About Me" up there *points*, I mention writing being a damn exercise. This OS was one of them. I had never written in present tense, that style prose, or Edward's POV (him Post-BD, no less). Nor had I ever written slash. The idea terrified me, and I never thought I could do it. But I have to say that it was a BLAST (and I, surprisingly, had less edits than I do with IL&W. LOL). I strongly encourage everyone to try writing something you never thought you would or have been too scared to try. It's not only liberating but a great learning experience, as well. In your review or PM, please let me know if a site or person sent you over to me. I'd love to show my appreciation to those fabulous blogs, people, and everything they do. |
