I've been writing fanfic for years, in various fandoms. I sincerely doubt I'll ever stop as I keep going back to old fandoms and rediscovering the characters - or do they rediscover me? I'm also discovering new fandoms all of the time. I tend to write multiple het/slash pairings in each fandom, just to warn you readers.

I'm legal in most states, which is all you'll get out of my regarding my age :)

A note: I try to review whenever I can, if I have anything constructive to say. I don't always sign in, but I do review. I write fanfic and post things here not only because I enjoy it, but to improve my writing overall. I can't do that unless I get honest feedback from my peers (which on the 'net is all of you who read what I post) so please review! It only takes a minute - usually less! - and all it will do is help me write better fanfic.

I am now also posting on fictionpress.com under the same pen-name of Kameka. What you'll find there are original stories, non fanfic challenge responses, and poetry. Feel free to stop in on the other site :)

I was alerted tonight that one of my Wild Card stories was plagiarized. Upon looking at the author's profile, I discovered that she plagiarized over 10 of my stories and posted them in a different section. She also plagiarized over 5 other authors that I know of. I alerted those authors and reported her for my own stories and theirs.

Seriously, guys? Writing fanfic is for FUN, it's an outlet for creativity. Where's the creation in changing a couple names and a hair color?

If anyone finds any plagiarized stories: REPORT the plagiarist and ALERT the author. People will continue to steal what we writers spend our time on unless we show them it will not be tolerated. The more you allow people to get away with plagiarizing someone's work, the less likely authors will continue to write fanfic, never-mind post that fanfic.

This was written for Kamerroen's 50 drabbles in 50 days challenge. I have to say that it's one of my favorites, and so perfect for multiple fandoms - and even original work. You're welcome to snatch it and post it on your own profile, but PLEASE GIVE ME CREDIT FOR WRITING IT.

The named characters scattered, hunched over in their uniforms as they scurried through the grounds and hallways, looking for the perfect hiding place, any hiding place. Their eyes were wide with fright and imagined pain and remembered horror as they ducked through doorways and wound their ways through mazes to do something, anything, to get away.

Following behind them were the cutest and sweetest looking bunnies. Faux innocence draped in multi-colored fur, black eyes appraising and noses twitching as they hunted their prey.

It was the annual run of the plot bunnies… and no character would ever be the same.

CREATIVE PASSIONS

I recently started a newsletter called Creative Passions, along with another wonderful writer who also posts on this site.

It's low mail volume (anywhere from 2 to perhaps 7 or 8 a week) and chock full of writing challenges. All types of challenges. Improv, sentence, picture prompts, character challenges, etc., etc., etc. There's also a Member Spotlight page, where-in members send in work to me and I post it to the list in a page. All emails would come from me or the other list owner.

It's great for fanfic AND for original work, it just depends on what you want to apply it to. I've used it for fanfic, for original, for poetry... Everything. I've always loved them, since they can just spark in your mind and start you off on something totally new.

Everyone who joins has to sign a disclaimer. All the disclaimer is is an acknowledgement of the rules, all of which are common sense (be polite, be honest, don't report anyone as spam) and will be saved as proof you wished to join and receive the emails. You can leave at any time. You can delete whatever emails you want.
