Author has written 1 story for Twilight. Like many people, I plunged into a deep obsession Twilight. "Twichosis" is what we called it and at the time, I was free falling into an abyss and didn't even know it. It was through that series that I discovered the joys of fanfiction. My twichosis was so severe I once wrote a fanfic of my own. It was totally AU, totally slashy, and the characters barely resembled the characters Stephenie Meyer created so I like to think of it as really just borrowing her names. It's only been recently that I've gotten back into reading fic. I don't read a lot, because between the blatant plagiarism, unoriginal ideas, and wretched grammar, it's difficult to sift through the garbage. But once in a while I'll find a gem that'll capture my interest. Speaking of my interests, I'm a big fan of HP, PJO/HOO and THG as far as book series goes and Charmed has always been my favorite TV show. You know, things that are completely normal and age appropriate for a 30 year old male who happens to be an accountant by trade. I think I just like to get lost in the fantasy of it all. Like I said, I'm an accountant...I need any escape vehicle I can find. But throughout my whole life, I've always been drawn in by the supernatural, things like witchcraft, vampires, and Greek mythology. I guess that was the spark that originally lit my previously-mentioned Twichosis. Luckily time and distance appear to be the cures for that particular ailment because I now look back in near embarrassment. So yeah, that's my story. Will I ever write again? Who knows. Sometimes that little rabbit jumps around inside my head. What do you kids call it? Oh yeah, plot bunnies or something like that. I've got probably 10 or so outlines written in various fandoms, but they never seem to come to fruition. Hell, I even wrote the first three chapters of a sequel to the Twific I wrote before but even that died. If I do write again, and that's a big if, there's a decent likelihood it would be in the PJO/HOO universe. Uncle Rick (Riordan that is for you non-PJO peeps) had to go and give deeper complexity to a character I already loved in a beautifully written chapter of House of Hades involving a traditionally cherubic god, a ghost king and unrequited love. And believe me, I'm a sucker for unrequited love stories! |
