Here's another sign of the Apocalypse: I've been nominated for an award! Yes; the sonic noise you just heard was me squeeing in astonishment! The New Normal has been nominated for Best Wolf in Round 3 of the Slash Awards. You can view all of the nominees and vote here. I'm a total long-shot but it's still exciting.

Sweetp-1 and I joined forces to contribute a story to the Two Is Better Than One Contest under the pen name SweetMoi. Never Who You Think You Are won First Place in Open Voting. I never thought I'd EVER win an open vote in anything.

The New Normal received two Judge's Selections in the Plot Bunny Contest.

All aspects of language fascinate me, particularly the way idioms evolve and the differences between cultural expressions for common subjects. My greatest joy is teaching writing to students who are just learning to read. PM me if you're interested. I can talk for hours about the impact writing has on emergent literacy.
