Hey all. So you've come to my profile, eh?

I'm really, really new to this, though I have read fan fiction in the past. I like to shuffle through various fandoms on this site, including House, M.D and Harry Potter, and I've read some truly great Twilight fic here as well.

I am definitely not a writer, a fact my friends love to remind me of. I actually am more of a biologist, cell biology to be exact. Anyone ever seen a rotifer? Cute little buggers.

Beyond that, I'm pretty ordinary.

Things I like: Steinbeck (don't laugh!), climbing trees, the smell of cedars, vanilla ice cream (it's a blank slate, people, a blank slate), House and Hugh Laurie (the older man who I find crazily attractive, though he belongs to Cuddy and his real-life wife I guess), Sherlock Holmes (probably explains House), really big dogs (especially when they sit on your shoes or slurp your face), accents, okra, classic movies, Animal Planet, and silly fluffy magazines (Cosmo? People? I love waiting rooms so much).

Things I don't like: Brussel sprouts. Lying. Austin Powers (sorry!). PDA that blocks your way down a street (I mean it! If you're going to do this without getting a room, at least don't block the sidewalk!). Crowded subways. I also HATE plagiarism.

Favorite movies of all time: O Brother Where Art Thou, To Kill a Mockingbird, L.A Confidential, Glory, Roman Holiday, The Magnificent Seven, One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, It's a Wonderful Life (what's Christmas without it?) and...Monty Python and the Holy Grail. The part with the french guys in the castle gets me every time.

Favorite books: Not listing. Y'all would think I'm too strange.
