Their words help to shape what’s at the core of me, the things I didn’t even realize were there. Without the works of Catullus, I wouldn’t know that sometimes even my best friend can be a great protruding cock—you may quote him on that—and without Austin, I wouldn’t know that romance can be as quiet as a dormouse and still move me to tears. It’s like drifting down a hallway filled with thousands of lovers, each one teaching me some new facet of myself, each one’s words branding me, instilling a change in my composition. I read, Matthew, and I discover myself anew. The final lover at the end of the hall is me.” Dr. Bonnefoy from General Relativity (a Hetalia Fanfic) EVERYTHING MOVED TO HERE: here Random Thought Corner: Is there really such a point in labeling ourselves gay or lesbian or straight or bi? What's the point of naming our sexual preferences? Why not just love whoever you want to love. Why confine yourself to only dating men or only dating women? If your purpose is to find that one person who fits you like your other half, if your purpose is to find that one person you can't imagine living without, why confine yourself to being homo or hetero? If you're looking, why not look both ways? Why does it have to be that oh, because I'm girl and I'm dating another girl, I have to be lesbian or vice versa? I could be sexually attracted to men still, it's just that the person I fell in love with is the same sex as I am. Why can't it be just that? You fall in love with who you fall in love with. And that's that. So, I just fail to see the purpose of labelling ourselves and confining ourselves to be this or to be that. You could tell yourself and others that you're gay, but if you find this one person who absolutely completes you and yet they're of the opposite gender, go ahead and date them anyways. Go ahead and love them anyways. Fuck what everyone else says. Love is love is love. -o-o- If I love someone but wish not to touch them intimately, if I shy away from the big romantic gestures, if the only thing I want to do is be with them always and nothing more, what do you call that? If the only thing I ask is to stay by their side and let them know of my love? -o-o- There are writers with grand fantastic stories, that take you on adventures, that excite you and thrill you, and add one more spin to an already out of control tale. It's exhilarating and energizing and you can't wait to know what happens next. And then are writers, whose words flutter into your heart and curl up in your chest. They take the ordinary, the world just as it is, no dragons, no ninjas, no supermen, just a couple living in modern London or two roommates in college and they show the beauty hiding within. They can make an everyday gesture move you to tears. And it is wonderful and breathtaking, and you melt. Note-worthy quotes: "You almost beat a rabbit to death. With a broom handle." Well, of course the Teutonic Knights were ready to serve them a hot dish of Christ to the teeth, but maybe they're tired of sleeping on couches, okay? Maybe they want some respectable fucking accommodations. "And I like this picture a lot, with the lasso and you're kinda under this girl's skirt? Or maybe that's my skirt, but then who's taking the picture...?" “No way. Look, Russia, you have to think about this from my point of view. You’re telling me that I’ve got photos of you at some swanky nightclub, probably wearing body glitter, just sitting on my Blackberry, and I’m supposed to delete them?” "They're, they're--sinful! And creepy! And, and--unsanitary!" "SO WHEN YOU TAKE OUT THE X's and you put a T at the end Xanxus spells Tsuna backwards!" I'm offended by everyone's offense over offended people who are participating in an offensive part of the offensive internet in response to an offensive cartoon, filled with offensive characters, history and ideas. So offended that I'm offended by my own offensive reaction. "Geography has made us neighbours. History has made us friends. Economics has made us partners. And necessity has made us allies. Those whom nature hath so joined together, let no man put asunder." ATTENTION ALL HETALIA COSPLAYERS!! PLEASE! PASS THIS ON TO THE NEXT HETALIA FAN! Hi.
