Who am I?

I used to be a Digimon/Pokémon fanfic writer, but I've now laid those two giants to rest and have spanned into the enormous world of Naruto and the spaz-tastic show Codename: Kids Next Door. My updating pattern is fairly slow (it takes a while for a chapter) but the chapters I chock out tend to be pretty long as a result of that. I also value character development and plot over action and character derailment (unless there is a reason for the derailment. A VALID reason, not a deus ex machina or just because you happen to hate the character). So no matter how much I actually dislike a character, I will NOT result to character bashing.

As far as pairings go, I do have personal preferences which would take too long to list, but it doesn't mean I won't be open to reading about others. I mean, whatever floats your boat. I'm fine with same sex pairings (although yuri doesn't really interest me that much) but I am as picky about how they're written as I am when the pairing is hetero. I'm VERY anal about characters morphing out of character just to pairing them with someone else...unless it's cited as a crack pairing. Then it's all good! XD

Review Status:

I’m kinda on the fence about reviews. While I do like sending reviews, I usually don’t have the time to write them. ‘Cause of that, a lot of great fics I’ve read tend to go review-less (is that even a word?). That said, when I write a review, I won’t write simple mindless praise (unless the story really does deserve the endless praise). I also will NEVER flame. It doesn’t matter whether the author deserves it or not. I won’t write things like “Your story sux and you’re a dumb @ss for writing it! Nyeh! Nyeh!” I don’t have the heart or energy to spew vitriol. I can be nit-picky and I’ll ask questions. But I won’t be overly harsh or rude. If I find something I find annoying (like character bashing) or I don’t like what’s happening, I’ll just move on.

On the flipside, I won’t demand reviews. I used to do that during my Digimon/Pokémon stories and, looking back, it seems kinda silly. I started this whole thing for fun and to get away from my headaches in real life. Feedback is great and I like hearing from you readers, but it isn’t a requirement for me. It’s enough that someone out there is willing to put up with me and what I turn out. ; Plus, who am I to talk when I barely have time to give out reviews myself?

I also have no problem if you don’t like something in my fics. I have no business being a law student if I can’t take criticism or see another side, heheh. However, what I said about flames applies here too. I appreciate constructive criticism as long as it’s not something nonsensical like “You’re not following my OTP! So you are crap!” Constructive criticism HELPS but only if it really is constructive. Flaming does nothing but make you look annoying and immature… or like a troll (but even then, it takes skill to be a good troll). Actually, you might not even get the reaction you hope from me since I tend to view flames as a source of snark and lulz (especially if you’re anonymous). So yeah.

Anime: Digimon, Pokémon, Naruto, Bleach (less so as time goes on), Fullmetal Alchemist, Yugioh (more the Abridged series now than the original), Durarara!!, Shaman King, Cowboy Bebop, Gurren Lagann, Death Note, Afro Samurai, xxxHolic, Black Lagoon, Katekyo Hitman Reborn, Soul Eater, Gankutsuou: The Count of Monte Cristo, Axis Powers: Hetalia, Fairy Tail, Samurai 7, Wolf's Rain, Hellsing Ultimate, and D.Grayman. I still like the Dragonball series and Gundam Seed to some degree (more for lulz now), and I currently have a like/indifferent relationship with Code Geass and Monster. In terms of manga, I am currently absorbed in the amazing but horrifying world of Berserk and the VERY messed-up series Sakura Gari.

Any other shows: Codename: Kids Next Door, Avatar: The Last Airbender, the DCAU (especially Batman the Animated series and the Justice League series), Xiaolin Showdown, Teen Titans, Beast Wars, Invader Zim, The Fairly Odd Parents, The Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy, Kim Possible, the Ben Ten series, Phineas and Ferb, Samurai Jack, Megas XLR, and Ed, Edd, n' Eddy. Naruto:
The Paths We Walk: The yokai and the ophanin. As long as anyone could remember, these two demonic races were at odds. However, one yokai and one ophan bonded during the divergence and had a child who could forever alter the state of the world. Years have passed since that day and the child, Naruto, now lives together with an innocent ophan named Riaru among the humans. Since his ordinary days are filled with struggles and indifference, he has no idea of the strange power locked inside him and the deadly pact behind its origin. But when befriends the icy avenger Sasuke and his cynical housemate Cassandra, his journey toward self-discovery begins...and he soon finds himself wrapped up in a conflict he never asked for.
Rated: T for language, violence, and slight shounenai for now; will eventually be rated M for language, violence, angst, yaoi, character death, and possible adult themes.

I've given it some thought (...okay a LOT of thought) and I've decided NOT to make The Paths We Walk into a trilogy. Instead, it will just be one long fic. This is mostly to make things simpler for me since I'll have an easier time keeping track of the plot and chapters (and I'm not struggling to introduce large groups of characters in bunches like I did with my Pokemon/Digimon trilogy). Also, callbacks will be much smoother if I don't have to force readers to go back to a previous fic.

Codename: Kids Next Door-Resurrection: 5 years after the disassembling of the KND, the lives of Sector V and Sector F take a drastic turn after one of their teammates is murdered. 4 years later, the other ex-operatives are targeted by a mysterious assassin syndicate. The two former KND teams must find the strength they once had within themselves to defeat this new menace, and unravel the mystery behind their friend's demise. But they soon learn that behind the trail of blood, deception, and violence lies a soul not bent on madness...but quite the opposite.

Rated: M for violence, language, disturbing elements (such as forced drugs, torture, mind-rape, and psychological disorders), possible gore, sex (blushes), and LOTS of angst...but mostly violence. YAY VIOLENCE!
Chapter Amount: 16 (for now)

This story is probably the darkest of my fics so I'm debating whether to tone it down for this site when I put it up (...probably not though some chapters will be posted onto my LiveJournal if the moral watchdogs take offense). Other than that, yeah...it might take a while to release it considering I have to finish Operation RESCUE first and I need to redo the old chapters to reflect my current writing style.
