Author has written 5 stories for Series Of Unfortunate Events, Animorphs, and Harry Potter. I'm Shiny Snicket. I am (as of 2013) a nineteen-year-old multimedia student in university. English was always my favourite subject in school, right back to when I wrote short stories in primary school. Naturally, I ended up joining this site. It was inevitable that I would start writing fanfiction sooner or later. I joined fanfiction.net in 2008 but didn't start my first fic until the following year. I originally joined to write stories for A Series of Unfortunate Events, but have since realised that I enjoy writing for Harry Potter much more. I don't mean to say that I haven't had a good time writing for ASOUE though. My first fic was my take of a fourteenth ASOUE book. I called it The Unpleasant Unknown. It is complete now, but I am currently writing its sequel, The Anonymous Adversary. I know I have been neglecting this sequel for my Harry Potter story, but I do plan on finishing it. I will find the will to continue with it eventually, but I don't want to rush it. I also have a fic called The Yeerk Invasion of Hogwarts, a crossover between Harry Potter and a book series I read during my childhood, Animorphs. I know it's appealing to a niche market of sorts and is unlikely to be read by very many people, but I suppose it's more of a vanity project than anything. I'm not putting the same amount of commitment into it as my other projects because it is, more than anything else, just a means of combating writer's block whenever I get it. My main project at the moment is called A Filthy Rat. It is an AU story in which Peter Pettigrew raises Harry Potter out of remorse. However, Harry does not yet know that it was Peter who betrayed his parents. Peter isn't a completely different character to the Peter from the actual series though. It will soon show that his cowardice is still there. I have never read a story about Peter raising Harry, which is one of the reasons I used this idea. If anybody has read one, feel free to send me a link so I can compare it to my own. I am hoping that there aren't many, if any, though. I want my story to be unique. |
