![]() Author has written 16 stories for Harry Potter, Misc. Plays/Musicals, High School Musical, iCarly, RENT, and H2O: Just Add Water. Hey everybody! I'm Jourdyn. I'm an aspiring Broadway singer/actress (also an aspiring writer, hence the fanfiction profile). I recently changed my username when I took this profile over from my sister Analyse. she used to be NoDayButToday2DefyGravity, but I thought it was a bit lengthy, so I am now BroadwayStarr. Yay! Anything with "Jourdyn" at the end is by me, anything with "Analyse" at the end is by my sis, and anything with SaraBeth at the end is a collaboration by both of us (It's our middle names. I'm Jourdyn Elizabeth and she's Analyse Sarah) Stuff about me I'm 17 years old. I have a 16-year-old sister named Analyse (like Annalise), a 13-year-old sister named Emalee (like Emily), a 19-year-old brother name Rylee (like Riley), and a 22-year-old twin sisters sister named Siobhan and Sinead. My parents got creative with the names. We still hate them for it today. All six of us get along creepily well. We do have our fights, but we were always taught to love and respect each other no matter what. We go through everything together, even with the twins off in Chicago and Rylee at the University of Michigan. I go to a Catholic high school, despite the fact I am decidedly agnostic. I'll be a senior next year and I'm torn between can't-wait-to-leave and I'll-miss-everyone-too-much-plus-I'm-really-only-8-inside. I live in Florida for most of the year, but I live in New York with my dad during school breaks. I'm very sarcastic. All the time. And apparently condescending (as one of my freshie friends tells me). But I'm super realistic and logical about everything, which makes people think I'm pessimistic. But actually, I'm more of an optimist. You really just have to get to know me to understand me. I also make snarky and oftentimes sexual comments. I have a perverted mind and I've turned several of my friends. Just watch what you say to me. But I can find innuendo in everything. It's an amazing talent. At least I'm never bored! :) I want to be a doctor when I get older, if the whole Broadway actress/writer thing doesn't work out. I want to go to Columbia University. I've seen 46 shows: Wicked (3 times), RENT (2 times), Evita, Phantom of the Opera (2 times), West Side Story, Pippin, Next to Normal, Billy Elliot, Little Shop of Horrors (2 times), In the Heights, Legally Blonde, Young Frankenstein, Hairspray, Chicago, Sweeney Todd, 42nd Street, Les Miserables, Hair, the Addams Family, the Miracle Worker, American Idiot, Promises, Promises, Seussical, High School Musical (1 and 2, I directed them. It just about killed me), Cats, Aida, the Lion King, Beauty and the Beast, the Little Mermaid, Sideshow, City of Angels, the Producers, South Pacific, Spamalot, Avenue Q, 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, Spring Awakening, Mary Poppins, Jersey Boys, Rock of Ages, We Will Rock You, Grease, the Color Purple, Mamma Mia, Dreamgirls, I Remember Mama, Harvey, Animal Farm I love to travel. I've gone to about 20 states, Ireland, Canada, Mexico, Spain, Greece, Italy, Scotland, England, and Vatican City. My choir sang for the pope. We also sang at Carnegie Hall. I'm in a glee club and it's honestly the best six hours of my week. I have blonde hair and green eyes. I have three cats: Dori, Elphie, and Hope My favorite colors are purple and blue. I have a purple streak in my hair. I've been in 27 local theatre productions. My favorite book is Harry Potter, and I love to read. Some of my favorite books are Jane Eyre, the Great Gatsby, Their Eyes Were Watching God, any book by Jodi Picoult, Narnia, Hunger Games, and Uglies. However, I despise Twilight with my whole being. I am currently obsessed with Glee. I love it. I love Starkid. All of my siblings love it because Rylee and the twins saw AVPM when it was on at UM. I saw MAMD, AVPS, and Starship live and they were each amazing experiences. I've met most of the Starkids and they're all brilliant and amazingly talented. I love them and I'm obsessed with their shows. And I can say that I knew Darren Criss before anyone else. I knew who he was before AVPM was even a thing. Beat THAT. I love Disney movies. (Let's get down to business, to defeat the Huns!) I also like Finding Nemo. Specifically, Ellen Degeneres as Dori. :D And Pixar. Just generally animated movies made for younger children. I'm a slash fangirl. Deal with it. I'm really stubborn. I often stalk the stage door at shows. I have posters and playbills all over my room that are signed by casts of different shows. I fight strongly for what I believe in. I am a supporter of gay rights. I honestly think that anyone who wants to get married, should. I'm the founder and president of the GSA at my school and I organized a walk earlier this year to support The Trevor Project. If you don't know about the Trevor Project. Go look it up and support. Now. I've watched my gay older brother struggle and fight through everything. I was always the closest in age to him. I was the first one he came out to and I ended up being his confidant. He's now found someone he really cares about and I couldn't be happier for him. No Day But Today I am the boy who never finished high school, because I got called a fag everyday. Gay marriage: 2) Gay marriage will encourage people to be gay, in the same way that hanging around tall people will make you tall. 3) Legalizing gay marriage will open the door to all kinds of crazy behavior. People may even wish to marry their pets because a dog has legal standing and can sign a marriage contract. 4) Straight marriage has been around a long time and hasn't changed at all; women are still property, blacks still can't marry whites, and divorce is still illegal. 5) Straight marriage will be less meaningful if gay marriage were allowed; the sanctity of Briteny Spears' 55-hour just-for-fun marriage would be destroyed. 6) Straight marriages are valid because they produce children. Gay couples, infertile couples, and old people shouldn't be allowed to marry because our orphanages aren't full yet, and the world needs more children. 7) Obviously gay parents will raise gay children, since straight parents only raise straight children. 8) Gay marriage is not supported by religion. In a theocracy like ours, the values of one religion are imposed on the entire country. That's why we have only one religion in America. 9) Children can never succeed without a male and a female role model at home. That's why we as a society expressly forbid single parents to raise children. 10) Gay marriage will change the foundation of society; we could never adapt to new social norms. Just like we haven't adapted to cars, the service-sector economy, or longer life spans... -- I'm INTO THEATRE & ART, so I MUST be a homosexual. ~STOP STEREOTYPES!
