Hi there, I'm Miri, and you obviously just found my profile.

Me in a nutshell: I'm 17 years old, live in Berlin, and adore books. Some of the best time of my life I've spent in book shops and libraries. I just looove the smell of books. For me, they are the portals into other worlds and they can give me an escape from life whenever I need one. I actually love my life, but it's still nice to get away once in a while. I can't really tell you about my favourite books as there are far too many of them, but I can give a selection of my favourite authors:

Terry Pratchett, whose Discworld stories are very funny and can make you see how silly life can be,

Neil Gaiman, who has a similar sense of humour as Pratchett, though maybe a bit more mean,

Mercedes Lackey, whose Valdemar books I adore for being among the few books that can make me cry,

J. K. Rowling, because I grew up with Harry and her books and because she is an awesome writer who can transport me into her world with just a few words,

J.R.R. Tolkien, who crated the most wonderful world I ever read about,

and, finally, Derek Landy. His Skulduggery Pleasant books are so weird and so wonderful that they make me giggle constantly while I read.

I abhor Twilight because I think the characters don't develop at all and because I think Bella and Edward's relationship is disturbed. But I do not dislike twifans for loving the book, everyone has different taste.

My current Fandoms are Harry Potter, Buffy the Vampire Slayer and the BBC's Sherlock (it is awesome, go watch it!), and sometimes I still read LOTR fanfiction.

Pairings: I'm fairly openminded about anything but non-consensual relationships, but I prefer pairings to be more in the background rather than the central theme of the fic.
