![]() Author has written 4 stories for Neverwinter Nights. Well hello there. =D This is Fallen1n2Darkness from the BioWare forums, and sahparadox from the Yahoo NWN2 Fanfic group (Adult and public). Everywhere else, I most likely go by ParadoxPortal. A little information about my entries, in order of chronology (that is, the order they occur in the Realms-verse, not the order I wrote them): The Tool's Edge - Finally, the fermenting has ended and I posted the second chapter! As the description says, this takes places during (and soon to be, after) the Luskan/Neverwinter war. A story of how Lorne, with already eroding world views and loyalties, becomes the senseless, infuriated juggernaut in the game. I was very surprised with myself when I wrote the first chapter, since I've never had any previous interest in Lorne or his past. But The Tool's Edge might just inspire me to write more behind-the-scenes stories of other underdeveloped characters (which means I have a lot of NPCs to work with --laughs-- ) Uncertain Harvest - Supposed to be a light, wistful Harvest Fair experience. It also allowed me to get comfortable with Piper, and sort out the earlier problems I had with her character (fact: her original name was Maeve, and the first chapter used to be about how she, Bevil, and Amie entered themselves in a new Fair activity; the Performing Act. Don't ask. Please, just don't ask. --shudders-- ) Chapter 3 is looming in the background and needs some heavy editing (even though there are parts of it that I adore, mainly Kipp). I used too much game dialogue, and I know that must not be fun to read. Or re-read, in the case of NWN2 fans. --COMPLETE, MINUS CHAPTER 3-- The Quelling Verse - Note: I might separate the story by Acts and give them individual titles, but 'The Quelling Verse' will always be the title of the entire story. Anyway. My official PC, Piper Owens, hurrying along the Sword Coast and snatching up companions like nobody's business. I'm hoping to experiment with different POVs, not just hers. (Can you imagine writing from Zhjaeve's perspective or, good holy tomatoes, Ammon's? Talk about a challenge.) And I know people are probably wondering about love interests (I know I always do --shamed face--), but I refuse to tell you. =P These Endeavors: A one-shot with no particular relation to any past or future story. I had been obsessively listening to "Until the End" by Breaking Benjamin for about a week. Over and over and over again. And my third chapter of The Quelling Verse was fighting against me like a wild boar with a bad disposition, so I needed to write something else. A story set in Mask of the Betrayer was a breath of fresh air, and then this chapter possessed me in the same way that the first chapter of The Tool's Edge did. I wanted to create a spirit-eater who was as 'faceless' as the Faceless Man himself, warped from the struggle but still very much a fighter. I also wanted to take a shot at first-person. It's addictive. :D |
