A bit about me:

Hi! I'm an avid reader, both online and offline. I especially like good manga, sci-fi, and fantasy, with the occasional historical fiction or mystery. I enjoy writing and exploring fanfiction, but I hope to someday write a book of my own.

Books:

Arsene Lupin - A really really really good thief/mystery novel. It was written by a contemporary of Doyle (who wrote Sherlock Holmes) and is about a French thief. For knowledgeable anime/manga fans, Lupin is the inspiration for Kaito Kid (from Detective Conan) as well as the series Lupin III.

Ender's Game - An awesome sci-fi novel set in the future. Brilliant children are manipulated and trained to save the world from the threat of invasion by an alien species whose previous attacks have left the world badly scarred and semi-united by a common foe.

The Mouse that Roared - An interesting and thought-provoking satire/alternate-historical-fiction about a small, made-up country in Europe. The country is thrust into prominence after World War II due to an odd twist of fate concerning nuclear weapons and wine.

Manga/Anime:

Hikaru no Go (Completed) - A series that follows a young boy as he discovers the fascinating and challenging world of Go. Actually, go and learn how to play Go! It's an interesting and complex game with deceptively simple rules.

Detective Conan (In Progress) - A long-running but excellent mystery series about a young boy detective. This manga is also called Case Closed. Consider checking out Kaitou Kid, which is written by the same author and set in the same universe as Detective Konan. No updates to Kaitou Kid in a while, as the author is busy with Detective Conan.

Fruits Basket (Complete) - A sweet and not overly romantic series about an unfortunate young girl. Despite enduring many troubles, she continues to see the best in everyone. She stumbles upon a cursed family. In the end, just about everyone finds happiness.

One Piece (In Progress) - One of the most popular manga out there. I used to dislike the drawing style, but the enthusiasm and courage of this adventurous pirate crew make One Piece a great manga.

1. Bitter Truths and Trials (Naruto):

Naruto is Naruto, but some things are meant to stay a secret. Canon with a twist.

Status: Rewrite planned.

2. The Immortal Soul (Bleach):

Ichigo and his friends need to rescue Orihime. Aizen has withdrawn for now, this stage of his plans complete. Now, awaiting the final showdown with Aizen, Soul Society and Karakura town are shocked by a tragic event. Did Kurosaki Ichigo... die?

Status: Rewrite planned.
