Poll: Would you want to see a companion project going a little deeper into the backgrounds of my Zootopia OCs? Vote Now!

Author has written 32 stories for Animorphs, Road Rovers, Spider-Man, All Dogs go to Heaven, Dragons in Our Midst, Treasure Island, Balto, Sly Cooper, Zootopia, Land Before Time, Dracula, and Bolt. First off, I would like to make an apology. I got caught up in reading a lot of people's stories, and then lost the list of the ones I was looking over. So if I was reading your story and stopped, or I said I would and you didn't hear from me again, my bad. Don't take it personally; just shoot me a message and I'll try to get back to you ASAP. Also, it's only fair to say that sometimes I say things in a way that sounds insulting when I meant something totally different. If I've done that, please accept my apology and ask me to clarify what I meant. Also, I like to interact with my readers, so by all means comment on my stories if you read them and vote on the polls I post. I will confess up front that the polls often serve more as a way to get a feel for where you the readers are, since I often have little to no control over where my inspiration takes me (adult ADHD; ciest la vie). However, I will do my best to oblige any and all requests, suggestions, and feedback I get through any route, and will usually send a personal thank-you within a day or two if you follow or fave one of my stories. Just my way of staying connected. Concerning the previous POLL: I got a total of one vote strongly urging a sequel to White Legend. As poll results go, I call that mixed signals. My decision: God willing, I will do a sequel at some point, but because it will address some things very personal to the lives of many people (i.e. PTSD), and because as a writer I am committed to delivering my best for all you readers out there, it will take me some time to do proper research. My apologies for the delay. Now for the main material. I'm Omnitrix 12 (but you knew that), I do a lot of writing, and although I tried to leave fan fiction behind to focus on writing books (as yet unpublished, but I've made a promising contact), I just couldn't stay away. Also, since it has come to my attention that people mistook me for a woman (because most fan fiction writers are, so they say), I wish to clarify that I am a man - and not as young as I suspect a lot of writers on this site to be either. Hopefully that will save some confusion. I'll be renovating my profile at some point, but since there's been so much interest in my Zootopia fan fiction of late, here's a rough line-up of what I have planned after I finish Something Stinks (not necessarily in order, and subject to change): Prank War: Fox Versus Bunny. A comedy piece of as-yet undetermined length. When a prank escalates, Nick and Judy's friendship descends into laugh-out-loud lunacy as each one tries to out-prank and out-hustle the other. I'll be making this one open-source, meaning that I'll accept prank ideas and even read-submitted chapters (within reason). Let me know if you're interested! (no risque pranks or serious physical injuries, please) I may start this one before finishing SS, if enough people take interest. Sundays Off. This one you may all find a bit... well, different. While Nick is away at the academy, Judy tries to find something good to do with her Sundays off from police work. What started as a simple search for normalcy quickly becomes a string of dead ends, leading her on a characteristically determined look for something with real meaning. For you Hopps fans out there, this one centers a lot more on her than Nick. :) Love Thy Enemy. When a little-known mammal with big ambitions halts a major crime for our favorite officers, the run-in raises some brutal history for them and a mutual friend. Now they have to face a brutal question: where does forgiveness end and the law begin? If anyone can be anything, does that mean even the worst mammals can change? They'd better find out fast, because everything is on the line; everything. Ties that Break, Ties that Bind. When someone close to Nick suffers a tragic accident, the fox cop is forced to decide where he really stands... and make some decisions which will alter life for him and everyone around him - especially the life of one young mammal whose whole world has just been torn apart. (Sorry, this is the most specific I can get without spoilers). Family Under Fire. When two friends of our favorite cops decide to adopt outside their species, they soon find themselves the targets of hostility and even outright violence. As Nick and Judy try to find the culprit, they don't realize that they are dealing with a much larger threat; one with ties going all the way back to their very first case. Deceptive Eyes. Their last big case was supposed to be over, but Nick and Judy's unseen enemy is only getting warmed up. As a blogger's message of hostility spreads like cancer through the city, the ZPD is faced with new waves of violence, discrimination, and other evils outside the reach of the law. Yet the enemies may not all be 'out there,' as a new friend shows signs of harboring secrets no one would suspect. With time running out and the whole city at stake, our heroes will have to find out who they can trust - fast. Also, it's been pointed out to me that my stories largely focus on Nick, so I'm always open to input on how to better bring out Judy's end of things. Now a little info about me (none of this is exhaustive, naturally): First of all, fair warning: I'm a Christian. I won't say I am or am not a religious fanatic because that term and its applications generally will come down to personal opinion. Do I protest at funerals or wave a Bible around all day? No; no I do not. Can I get along with people who aren't Christians? Certainly, if they can get along with me. The bottom line is, I believe in Jesus Christ; that He's the Son of God and the only way to God. I say this as a courtesy to people who don't like that, so they can feel free to have nothing more to do with me or my stories (because they're tolerant or something). Myself, I will talk with and be friends with anyone of any religion if they are willing to do the same with me. So feel free to shoot me a message. I won't bite. :) When it comes to genres, I'll try anything once, although I'm not really into horror. I'm particularly partial to action, comedy, a tasteful bit of romance, and most of all stories that really make me think. I try to avoid dirty stuff because it dishonors God and the human body. Also because I want to be a children's author, so I'm trying to keep my head clean. Please do not ask me to read stories which try to paint wrongdoing (e.g. lying, stealing, cheating) as good, or which paint good things as bad. I won't like them, which means you probably won't like my feedback unless you're a troll. I'll assume in good faith that you are not a troll. I've noticed that a lot of people have memes on their profiles about being a Christian, but don't like to talk about what it doesn't mean (e.g. "doesn't mean I think this, doesn't mean I do that"). So I'd like to say something about what faith actually does in my life. There was a certain incident sometime ago at one of my jobs, when someone was playing jokes on one of the supervisors; leaving unpleasant things in his locker. It occurred to me that if someone looked into the matter, I would have a lot of circumstantial evidence against me; evidence for which I had no answer. Yet I also knew I was not the one doing it, and that whatever happened, no amount of evidence could ever take away my integrity. That's a big part of what being a Christian does for me: it gives me certainty and frees me from worrying about some accusation I can't handle. I know it could cost me one day; I could get sued, I could get fired, or I might even join the thousands who have lost their lives. The one thing I can't lose is Jesus Christ. And now a few things about me: Hobbies, Interests, and Skills: I collect a few things, including books (I love to read), swords and knives (you read me right), and art. I also have some skill in woodworking and landscaping, an interest in professional writing, and I like to design things. I'm very much into dragons. Games: Chess (when I can find an opponent), Zoo Tycoon, Skyrim. Favorite Authors: Bryan Davis, C.S. Lewis, J.R.R. Tolkien, and many more. Education: I graduated from the Word of Life Bible Institute, and am holding off on further studies until I manage to pay off my existing loans. I have been advised to pursue a degree in journalism, and I may minor in the culinary arts or something pertaining to construction/home repair. Current Endeavors: Various stories, mostly of the fantasy genre. I'm trying to get a book published, but it's slow going. A few movies, books, and shows I enjoy: Balto: I liked the story years before they even had a movie, let alone three. Admittedly, the story is about as true to the facts as Barack Obama's claims of progress, but it's enjoyable in its own right and doesn't have an insidious agenda. Besides, I always like to root for a noble-hearted underdog. As for the sequels, it's true they lack some things when measured up against the original. But then, half the sequel-slammers I've met would rather have seen Jenna choose Steele anyway, so who cares what they say? In and of themselves, the sequels do have their good points. The shamanism in Wolf Quest and Stella in Wings of Change are not among them. Projects in the works relating to Balto are White Legend Reborn and What's Love Anyway? The Toby series is on hiatus. All Dogs Go to Heaven: The original's a classic, the sequel is fun, and they as well as the series, while not at all maintaining a consistent storyline, are enjoyable. I find the second movie more entertaining to watch than the first, and have a hard time understanding people who make a big fuss because it's not like the original. As for the series, granted the storyline is out of whack. But the episodes do have some fairly engaging plots and a good lesson here and there. No current projects for it, but I have one on hold and a fun crossover idea. Road Rovers: I grew up watching the show, and the characters are fun to write about. 'Nuff said. I hope to write a series of fanfics showing how a reboot would go if I was in charge. Wishbone: It's too bad the show's not on anymore, because we really do need to encourage kids to take an interest in classical literature and older things in general. Besides, as you may have guessed, I'm a dog person. I have one Wishbone project (trying to get some co-authoring worked out for it) called Pilgrim's Pawgress, a book-length Wishbone take on Pilgrim's Progress by John Bunyan. Spider-Man: I've always had a thing for climbing; rocks, trees, even the house I grew up in. So I find it pretty easy to connect with Spider-man. Then there's his strength, agility, spider-sense, and webs, all of which have their handy little uses. Most of all, there's the fact that he always keeps trying no matter the odds, always following his motto: With great power comes great responsibility. Dragons in our Midst and Oracles of Fire: I still remember when I first saw Raising Dragons in the book store. Between it being about dragons and being in a Christian bookstore, it had my attention at once. And thanks to Bryan Davis' literary genius for combining timeless truths, ancient legends, and contemporary characters, he's kept it from that day to this. One story on hold; Inside This Armor. The Chronicles of Narnia: Another world that could be entered just around the next corner or just through that door on the left. Magical creatures and ancient prophecies. And the story of God's love for mankind as it would play out in such a world. Epic win. Adventures in Odyssey: John Avery Whittaker, retired teacher and now owner and manager of Whit's End, teaches kids and families alike about the power of God's truth in our world in any and every situation. From selling ice cream and teaching Sunday school to solving crimes and stopping syndicates bent on world domination, Adventures in Odyssey is a radio series like no other. Exciting stories, solid teaching, and fun moments just about anyone can enjoy. Animorphs: What if you had the power to turn into any animal you could touch? What if you had to use that power, because a race of evil aliens were threatening to enslave every human being on the face of the earth? Sounds like my idea of fun. Pokemon: Yeah, it's juvenile sometimes. It's still fun. Two concepts on hold. Relationships I'll just save you a list and tell it plain and simple. If a relationship is canon, I usually support it - unless it's something I can't support, in which case I probably don't like the canon either. Simply put, if the Bible says something doesn't fly, I'm not going to get behind it. I definitely don't support relationships where one party is a psychopath or an egomaniac, or where one of them wants to kill the other's alter-ego. As a general rule, I write the ships which I feel will make for the best stories with the way I write, though I'm not averse to reading a wider range. Fanfics on hold: Toby Part Two: Steele's Revenge Steele is back, and he knows the secret Luna's family has been hiding. So when Taya goes missing, it's up to Copper, Luna, and Toby to save her. But even they can't save her from the demons of her past. In Progress Fanfics I'd Like to Write: Redemption You've read The Silent War. Now find out what came before, and after, as one girl's blind wanderings lead her into a trap, and a guiding light reveals her one hope of survival in the closest the world has yet come to a living Hell. Post Pending Paw-grim's Progress When Joe finds a strange little book and starts thinking some strange things, everything gets, well, kind of strange. Wishbone is reminded of a classic story about another man whose life-changing journey began with what he read in a book. Post Pending Pokemon: By the Book Ash, Misty, and Brock encounter a trainer named Noah with some training techniques that prove extremely unusual and extremely effective. Is he just a brilliant strategist, or is there something more to his methods? And what's up with that book he's always carrying around? Non-canon. Post Pending ...And Sin No More Sandman battling terrorists? Molten Man saving Spider-Man's life? The Vulture running his own company to produce flight harnesses? What the heck is going on here? And what does it have to do with that elusive man who's been making the rounds? Post Pending Pokemon: Spectrum My own version of how the Pokemon games should be, told in story form. Douglas Owens, a young fanatic of all things underground, takes on the League Challenge in order to unearth the truth of his father's four-year disappearance in a place only the greatest dare to go. New Gyms, new battle techniques, quite possibly a new region, and a world of new trainers and styles. Gaming details chapter by chapter. Post Pending And just to round it out, a few fics I'll recommend by other writers: The First Day, a decidedly dramatic take on Nick Wilde's first day in the Zootopia Police Department by forgetthosewords Wilde Academy, a funny and promising take on Nick Wilde's days in the ZPD, written by my friend AngloFalcon. Please get after him to finish this one, folks; I'm aching to see where it leads. The Newest Otterton, a family story by VickyT36. Brief, but very sweet. A Foundation of Trust, a SWAT Kats fic which does a great job of dovetailing with the series (as far as I remember it) while fleshing out the characters in ways the show never did. Just the kind of fan fiction I like best. If you'd like to have something put up on here, feel free to ask and I'll check it out (I prefer to share finished works, but if I like what I see at the start I may make an exception). Fair warning: I don't even consider fics with explicit/excessive sexual material or grotesque violence - and if there's a lot of pointless cursing, drug use, etc., especially by good guys, your chances are slim there too. Anything else you want to know, just ask! :) |
