Author has written 38 stories for Andromeda, Mario, One Hundred Years of Solitude, and Misc. Books. RIP Walkazo. December 21, 1991 - March 27, 2016. My online name's Walkazo and I'm a 24-year-old Canadian girl from Toronto, Ontario. My time is split between studying birds and writing about the Mario series as both a fanfiction author here and a senior administrator of the Super Mario Wiki. Besides Mario, I'm also a huge fan of the Pokémon franchise: the games, the anime, the cards, the manga - I've loved it all. Other favourite series of mine include FLCL, Star Trek, Avatar: TLA/TLoK, 8-Bit Theater, Doctor Who, Gurren Lagann, Homestuck, Steven Universe, Stargate, Adventure Time, Hetalia, and an obscure little cartoon called King. I got into writing fanfiction in high school back in 2006, which is when I developed the plots for my Super Koopa trilogy and its forerunner, The Queen of the Koopas, which, as the name suggests, is about Bowser's wife, who I call Bowselta (a picture of her is shown above). I wrote QotK and the first of the trilogy, Super Koopas, in summer 2007, followed by Super Koopa Land one year later; the final installment, Super Koopa World, was started in 2009 but didn't end until 2012 thanks to university killing my free time. While the connections aren't always explicit, many of my one-shots are part of the same headcanon as the Super Koopa series - identified by the use of Bowselta as the cover art (i.e. with the purple-tipped hair and the charm). My massive novelization of Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story also fits in with my Super Koopa series, although like the one-shots, it completely works as a standalone fanfic too. As well as my main fanon, there are a few completely separate stories as well, which use my own personal avatar as the cover art (i.e. Bowselta recoloured to have pure blue hair and no charm). This includes my Mario-Shakespeare adaptations, wherein I retell the classic plays with modern English and Mario settings and characters. I've done four so far: Bowser II (based on Richard III), Luigi (a parody of Hamlet), King Bowser (which, like its basis, King Lear, is half-tragedy, half-comedy), and Princess and the Koopaling (a subversion of Romeo and Juliet); I might do more, but I make no promises. Anyway, thanks for your time, and I hope you like my stuff! |
