My name is Thom, but on here KatonRyu will do. My last name is nobody's business but my own, however I can assure you no one will ever pronounce it right because we are actually the ones mispronouncing it, what with our being Dutch and the name Swiss. (And no, I'm not even remotely related to any Swiss people. It was Swiss in the fourteenhundreds, and it's been in the Netherlands for at least five generations. That concludes the history lesson on my last name, which I didn't even tell you.)

About myself:

I'm really just some guy who enjoys writing. I'm doing much more of it these days than I have in years, but I still should be spending more time on it. Aside from my fanfics, I'm also working on a couple of original fiction projects.

In daily life, I'm a programmer in a small company, working on time registration software for municipalities and the like. It's about as riveting as it sounds.

Aside from that, I like to fence. As with pretty much everything else in my life, I'm decent at it but nothing more than that. I really enjoy it, however, and I guess that's what counts. Or, you know, that's what I say. I hate losing and I'm one of those guys who even gets frustrated if training isn't going well. I do go to a few world-level competitions, but they all go about as well as you'd expect from a guy who trains twice a week: I win maybe one match in the preliminaries and that's it. The highest ambition I have is to one day make a top 64.

RWBY Origin of Darkness: I'm starting work on Chapter 22 soon, but that's really all I can say at this point.

Skyrim When The Dragon Breaks: I'm working on Chapter 6. I don't know if this one or Origin's Chap 22 will be first.

MLP Summer Sendoff: Chapter 3 will be next, but it will be some time before it goes up. I've got about three lines written, all of which I'll delete whenever I get back to this one. Hopefully it'll be up before September ends, but as usual, no promises.

Hiatus:

Undertale Something to Live for: I still have some ideas, but the story has low priority for now because of my three active projects. Don't expect this one in the near future.

Pokémon Reaching for the Stars: I've been watching the GDQ Pokémon runs, specifically the Let's Go Eevee run, and I'm seriously considering reviving my nearly decade-dead fanfic. I actually had quite a bit of Chapter 9 written before I got sidetracked by K-ON oneshots.

Pokémon The Mary Sue Experiment: I have a second chapter. I do, occasionally, write more for it. I'm never, ever, going to publish those chapters. I won't remove what I already have, since it's quite innocent, but MSE is an incredibly crude and mean-spirited fic, which is so horrifically offensive that I'm not going to publish any more of it. Basically, MSE is a work of pure evil at this point. Why mention it at all? Well, long absences, in my case, don't mean a fic is dead. This one definitely is.
