Poll: Should I proceed to Retcon the demon arc in Detective Grimm in order to make the story less serious and more comical? This is a result of reader/reviewer backlash, and a serious consideration to change the direction of the story. I want to know what you all think, be honest and choose whatever you desire. I will go forth with whatever decision the majority of you all will choose. Vote Now!

Author has written 7 stories for RWBY, My Hero Academia/僕のヒーローアカデミア, and Fate/stay night. Alright, major update time! Hello, I am Genatools. That is the pen name that I am now stuck with for who knows how long. I cannot change it, for in the multiple stories that I have written my name has always been a part of it somewhere. I know I could if I really wanted to, but hey, its a hilarious idea and (kinda) dream of mine to become really popular and have people refer to me by Genatools. Usually, I go by Gen though, so there's that too. My Goals as a writer of Fanfiction I really only have one major goal that I want to go for. At first, I started writing because I honestly just didn't have much to do, and thanks to a friend of mine, Chinsangan, I found myself inspired to start writing after reading one of his stories out of countless dozens if not hundreds of other fanfiction that span across dozens of other fandoms. RWBY of course being the main one. I like writing, I fell in love with it. And through this, I found out that I like creating art as well. Digital Art, Traditional Art, you name it! So as a result, I aimed that love for art into my ultimate goal of becoming a writer of an original story that I am planning right now. Of course, due to personal reasons, I can't share much info about it, but I will reveal one thing. I want to be the first (to my knowledge) to write a series of books a dozen long. I want to write and write and I want the world to acknowledge that. It is ambitious, I know, but one of the many major reasons that I started writing fanfiction is as practice for those books. For instance, if you've read my RWBY stories that I have posted so far, you know that I like to mix things up and create my own lore and canon for the world that is RWBY. So yeah, that's pretty much it there. My First Stories So, if you have read my stories or if you are just reading my profile first, you will soon find out that the beginnings of my first stories, namely "An Unlikely Hero", and "A Tale of Two Heroes" have... pretty rough beginnings. This is simply because I was very inexperienced at first, and it starts off and keeps going as really 'tropey' and Is littered with mistakes. That is the consequence of my being very trigger happy when it came to writing, I always feel like I just need to get it done rather than make it good. Which is now my priority when I write. I just felt like I should issue out a fair warning out of fear that people may look at those stories and wonder why they are just written... well, just plain bad. I do have plans to have a friend and beta of mine, CrowSkull, go through and re-write them for me as he is my co-writer and main go-to to present any new ideas. But as you can imagine, that will take a long time, so please, bear with me! Why I Make my RWBY Stories so different from the main canon I get this question more times than I care to admit. Simply put, I do not like how RoosterTeeth carries on with the story of RWBY after Volume 3. I do not like how they butchered Adam's character and practically created Ilia just so she can be another lesbian in love with Blake, only to then ship her off to wherever after the fifth volume where we can just forget about her. Honestly, there are a lot of things I can say that revolve around bashing Roosterteeth and their decisions. But I won't do that, instead, I will simply answer the question as I should have by now. I want to see what I can do to make the lore of RWBY more expansive and Good. Not to say that RT does a bad job at it, I mean, I have written over half a dozen stories for it so far, so obviously there are a lot of things that I like about RWBY. However, that doesn't mean I am afraid to point out its bad ends. I am slowly inching my way out of the RWBY fandom as I believe that the show will not be able to get an ending anytime soon with the current schedule, and constantly making stories for a show that I have lost the passion for, I will be moving away from that fandom when it comes to my next story. This does not mean that I will completely stop writing RWBY stories, as I still have a few ideas that I could play with to make stories based on that world. Regarding AUH Side Stories It was a mistake. I planned a lot of Side stories that could be based on real events that took place in my first passion project "An Unlikely Hero" But I SEVERELY miscalculated exactly how much I would have needed to do in order to actually make those side stories. So as for right now, I am sorry. Most if not all previously mentioned AUH side stories had been canceled. I simply have too much on my plate. But perhaps if I find myself with an overabundance of free time, I may think of reigniting those little ideas of mine. Upcoming Stories A Tale of Two Heroes: Part Two (Title subject to change) (RWBY) YBWR (RWBY) Wait, so Yang is the purple-eyed warrior, Ozpin is the King of the Grimm, Salem is the headmistress of Beacon Academy and Jaune Arc is the tournament fighting champion of Ansel? Which is now in Mistral for some reason? Huh, this ought to be fun. The Seventh War- ICE (Fate: Stay Night) They were fools to believe that the Omnipotent Holy Grail met its end at the triumphant last days of the Fifth Holy Grail War. Now starting yet again in New York, Manhattan, Seven new Masters, and Seven new Servants battle a fierce war to make the Grail's wish come true. New Mage families emerge from the shadows to reclaim their glory, along with some... worrisome individuals. In the first installment of three new timelines, who will bring an end to this bloody conflict? Or... could it even be ended at all? |
