Now Salem's entrance might be crazy, Amber's half ghost half also-a-ghost routine might be... expected is a bit of a stretch, because we really don't know the full effects of the machine (we've never seen it in action before), but it isn't completely out there, but Neptune getting knocked out in only 47 seconds? Me thinks that this is proof of something important to the plot, despite the authors note clearly saying otherwise.

Guess Cinder decided to say 'Eff it' and push through with her plans to acquire Amber's powers after all though given the White Fang potentially not being part of the equation, the huntsmen might have an easier time? Ah, who am I kidding, she still has the Black Queen Virus and unless Salem had ordered Watts to disable the thing to ensure Jaune is safe...

Or even worse, Salem was in on it the whole time, or rather after she learned of Jaune's current relationship with Weiss. I mean, if she called off an invasion after she saw the object of her affe-obsession so it would not be much for her to reverse that decision when she learns another woman is after her man.

Geez, talk about psycho girlfriends...granted, I'm still unsure of Jaune's relationship with her in the last playthrough.

You may regret the lack of Pyrrha, but I think you're missing the real gold-mine here: the Coco-Cardin-Co-operative-Criminal-Caper's, captured by their co-conspirators, Fox and Sky! I mean honestly, did people just forget that Junior's information network was entirely dismantled simultaneously from the inside? Leading to a cold war between the Remnant equivalent of Vale's MI6 having a cold war with Lil' Miss Malachite?

Jokes aside, great stuff as always. I'm curious as to what exactly Cinder's plan has become, and who her new arch enemy is (possibly Pyrrha, but that doesn't seem like this new Cinder's style. Though maybe that's something that annoys her too? Who knows!), but most importantly everything about the new Salem/Jaune dynamic.

So Cinder still intends to go through some aspects of her plans then...either as a way to get at Amber and the other half of the Fall Maiden's powers. Or just a small form of payback against Jaune for his 'deception' but given the potential reprisal for disobeying Salem, I doubt it though I do have to wonder if she managed to convinced Salem to let her proceed given how suspicious the fight was.

Really hoping Penny won't be sliced and diced by Pyrrha here but with Sun dead...

At least Yang and Ruby are getting better but damn, Ruby's backstory felt a little close to home there but I'll say this much, my Yang is better now though they slip every so often but nobody's perfect.

As for Pyrrha, she's the straightlaced no-nonsense type with a view on the world in blacks and whites, with Blake being the exception in her eyes since she's redeeming herself. I'm gonna guess that her life was highly regimented, including her morals though her vindictiveness implies that she might have had a run in with unsavory individuals in her past.

Now I'm worried that she might blab to the headmasters either intentionally or due to her emotional state.

On the bright side, Weiss is a super understanding girlfriend and teammate. Jaune is a really lucky guy...in the relationship department. Everything else on the other hand...is a mixed bag so far.

Quite good introspection and dialogues, can't wait for more.
