![]() Author has written 13 stories for Zootopia, and Kung Fu Panda. Hello there! I'm SpookOrSpectre! My moniker is inspired by the scene in Ghostbusters where the three are making a commercial advertising their services. I watched the movie countless times when I was young, and ever since I have been interested in the supernatural, and anything spooky! But I also love animals and societal issues (when addressed well), so I absolutely fell in love with Zootopia. A little more about me: I am currently studying mathematics and physics as an undergraduate, with plans to attend graduate school for a Ph.D. and eventually become a professor of theoretical physics. When I think about math and physics, I don't see numbers on a page or symbols in an equation, I look at the problem or the situation I'm dealing with and think 'what, how, why' and the math follows simply as a way to answer those questions. Physics is incredible because it's not about remembering facts, it's about changing the way you think in order to be better at using math to describe the world around you. I always have people telling me I'm smart and whatnot, and while I can say I'm certainly not a typical guy, I definitely would like to refute the idea that I am smart (seriously, just read my stories, I'm an idiot XD). I know a lot because I care a lot, and that's pretty much it. Feel free to PM me and chat! I'm very talkative and a friend to all! My main stories, for the foreseeable future, will be about Nick and Judy's journey in discovering the paranormal in 'The Enigma Project.' Guided and helped along by some new friends, Nick and Judy find that the world is a scarier place than it seems. The stories will mostly be relatively short, and vary in intensity from pure dumb comedy to the most horror-ey horror I am capable of (which probably isn't much, I'm too goofy IRL). The Enigma Project Series (in order, with inspirations where applicable): The Culprit From Hell: A Margay disappears under unusual circumstances, and Nick and Judy are asked to do what they do best. But it's stranger than just a cat gone missing, and there are secretive forces at work. Beware the creatures that lurk in the night. Complete! A Case of a Curse: Nick and Judy are on patrol when they're asked to do a well-check on a raccoon. Sadly, he isn't doing very well, and they stumble across a book that gives them quite a scare. They request help from their friends at the intelligence agency, and hijinks of the highest order ensue. Complete! Peril: A lioness is almost killed in a construction accident, but the site manager reveals a much more serious problem than an injured worker. The officers set out to right the wrongs of Blakesly Construction, and they quickly find themselves caught up in something far more sinister than a case of corruption. Who knew something so mundane could lead them on a journey so... perilous? Complete! Inspired by the album Agony by the band Fleshgod Apocalypse, an album about evil, wrongdoing, turmoil or difficulty, justice, punishment, and variations on those themes. A true masterpiece, in my opinion. The Deerbrooke Devil: Something fell from the sky outside a town in Deerbrooke county. The military doesn't know what it is, but they do know that they can't let the public find it first. What was a simple recovery mission turns into a cataclysm in this Halloween special... Complete! Happy Halloween! Inspired by the movie John Carpenter's: The Thing and the song "Natural Selection" by Rings of Saturn. Ritten in Blood: A string of vandalisms leaves Nick and Judy with a bad taste in their mouth. The list of impossibilities goes on and on in every case, and paint does not seem to be on the artist's palette. The two are in a race against time to stop the culprit before more are sacrificed to create grotesque "artwork." In Progress. Other Stories: The Eschaton: Collaboration with Erwin Rommel98! A secretive cult begins a terror campaign, attempting to get the citizens of zootopia to give in to the twisted ways of their religion. It is Nick and Judy's job to stop them, but they are not to be underestimated. Time is of the essence... It's about to come to an end. Complete! A Simple Life: Life is complicated, and every day is a challenge. Sometimes that challenge is too great, and we just need to drop everything and relax. Everyone has something they do to relax, a book, a movie, maybe music, or maybe just a place to go and sit. This story is about a bobcat's favorite place, a rough day he had, and an experience he'll never forget. Chapter 2 of Spook's Spurious Selection Djet Neheh: Egyptian for eternal; temporal totality. "Has always been and will always be." This is a collection of related and unrelated events, big and small, that represent the things that sapient life has always known, and will likely always know... in the world of Zootopia of course. In Progress, not a priority. |
