About Me

Call me Crystal.

I've always enjoyed writing, but I took a much bigger interest in it around March 2004 when I won second place in a writing contest. Online, I currently write only pokemon (Contestshipping), but will probably start to include Sailor Moon soon. Things to know about me: I love cats and have always had a unique connection with them (multiple people have nicknamed me Cat Whisperer and one of my friends says I "speak cat"); I play piano quite well and could read simple sheet music before I could read words (but am not a prodigy! Just years and years of passion and lessons); I spend a lot of time either playing video games or listening to Let's Plays, streams, and podcasts; and I'm not afraid to admit I adore children's shows and movies just as much as I enjoy the less animated and more adult ones. Bubbles Guppies is in my list of favourite shows ever, right alongside Psych, Once Upon a Time, and Detective Conan.

The following is a poem I wrote when I was about 15:

Where I'm From

I am from the books,
from the paper and pen.
I am from the music in my hands,
(flowing, gliding,
a pianist to the end).
I am from cats of many colors,
and my colorless white
whose mews I never fail to hear,
and loving purr is always near.

I’m from fallen pinecones and branches,
tossed into the Autumn fire.
I’m from snowless green Winters with sleet,
and Summers in the pool, escaping the heat.
From Springs rife with pollen, changing black cats into yellow.
I am from dragons and gryphons,
with sharp teeth and long claws,
whose long wings are strong and without flaws.

I’m from Moogles and Nayru’s Love,
cheddar Goldfish, Mountain Dew, and Dove.
From the rabbit my brother lost to the stray,
the end of our cat at the start of the day.

Behind my hidden eyes
in memories, crystallized,
things of the lost past, unbridled,
to fly into my dreams in the night.
I am from these moments --
As these moments are from me --
a late flower from the sakura tree.

My Stories & OTPs

It is always my desire to try to update any ongoing stories regularly, preferably weekly. This does not always work out, and so, for future stories, I will refrain from posting them until they are more or less complete.

A lot of research goes into all my stories. Pokemon, for example, I will research each pokemon individually, as well as several of the attacks, to figure out what moves they can learn and decide which ones to use. If I create an OC, I will decide how they look and act, usually even drawing some of them or making them in a character creator, to get a good idea of who they are, before I really start to write them.

I think it's only fair to let people know what shippings I'm mostly like to write about, in case they are interested. I know I get a little frustrated when a story has the character tags for my OTP, but the writer actually supports them with different people. I have no interest in writing any pairings unless I very much support them (unless, perhaps, it's unrequited).

Pokemon
ContestShipping (Drew/Shuu x May/Haruka) - Honestly, I hope this doesn't surprise anyone, since it's all I have on fanfiction at the moment.
PokeShipping (Ash/Satoshi x Misty/Kasumi) - I don't really intend to write them, but I might strongly hint at it.

Sailor Moon
Usagi & Mamoru (Serena/Darien, Serenity/Endymion)
possibly inner Senshi & Shintennou, though it would probably not be my main focus

Miraculous Ladybug
Marinette & Adrien (Ladybug/Chat) - I especially love fics that use all four triangles of their possible pairings in some cute fluffy way before the big reveal.
