Chapter 53
Quan Chi...you son of a bitch!
This is bad! I have a feeling I know how to stop Sindel, Jade and Kitana from breaking out of the control but in doing so, it's going to cost me their faith and trust in me.
I have broken their trust once.
But could I possibly do it again?
This is going to be my end, isn't it? I have to find a way to break the three Edenian ladies under Quan Chi's spell and get the hell out of Hell! But how can I when I am all alone down here fending for myself?
"It's all your fault, Nash~" Kitana purred before spinning her fans while I dodged to avoid getting dry air blisters. "If it weren't for you, this chain of event s wouldn't have happened in the first place!"
I instinctively grabbed the pole that almost slammed my head before flipping over. Jade, I must confront her even if she's under mind control.
"I should never forgive and let you in," Jade growled before using her heels to jab at my side. I held my torso, hoping that it's not bleeding from that sharp heel kick. After my talked with Jade to confirmed that I don't feel the spark with her anymore, I feel guilty.
Not because I I still love her but more on how I really broke her trust.
Because of me, Riana and I were exiled before Bo Rai Cho took us in and then the chain of events that have happened.
I want to go home!
AHHHHHHHH!
I quickly placed both my hands over my ears at the sudden screech. These ladies under Quan Chi's spell must also have a buff since I remembered that has happened in the previous games. But then, he specifically turned them this way for a reason.
I recalled him saying that I'm not the one he wanted but who? Bryan or Azril?
My thoughts were broken when something was rumble beneath my feet. Oh god, I hope this place doesn't have those creepy demons like that game DOOM or something! To avoid getting dragged down even further, I made a run for it while my eyes tried to focus on Jade's movements.
"Run and fight all you want, Nash~" the sultry voice of Sindel purred. "But your sins will always come crawling on your back! Come and take us, little boy!"
I can't speak. Maybe it's the Netherrealm or the fact that I'm fighting three Edenian women that I had bonded with are with but this place is going to make me mute. All I could do now was blindly block their attacks while I tried to counter their attacks.
"Nash..." a faint voice was heard but I couldn't see who it was. But it sounded like a guy's voice.
"You can hear us well, Nash," the voice began again. Ermac! "We are in your mind and speaking to you telepathically. We are not alone as we just teleported here with your friend and sister."
Ermac's here! Riana and someone else is here to help me?! I don't know if I wanted to shout or cry thanks to whoever heard me plead for help. I couldn't see anyone since I'm a bit busy with Jade and Kitana.
Suddenly, Jade gasped in pain before rubbing the back of her neck. I never thought I would say that a bite from a bearded dragon was something I was glad at. Kurt was biting Jade's neck to distract her while I kicked her in the gut.
Looks like that's one way to stop her!
"You okay, Nash?" Riana's voice called out and I saw her pushing off Kitana off her and jabbed her neck with the toxic venom. My sister's alive!
There was no time for a reunion hug because Sindel, Kitana and Jade are back on their feet again even with some of the bruises and scars. Before Sindel was going to stretch her long hair to whip me, a glowing green energy surrounded her.
"You!" Sindel struggled within the green energy. To some weird guys like me, it's kinda enticing to know she's being bounded by this invisible force and on top of that, she has a hot nude body while we are all stuck in this hell called the Netherrealm.
"Cease and desist!" Ermac's voice echoed throughout where we are.
"You traitor!" Kitana yelled but her fans were knocked out of her hands before two daggers were pierced into her hands. I would say that Kitana almost became another Sindel but with a manageable decibel to hear her screams.
"Ermac teleported us here," Azril approached by my side. "Just in time as I can see from the situation you're in right now."
Does Azril really need to remark on my problem right now?!
"You've tried everything?" Riana asked, a gash across her stomach was seen. I had a feeling Jade used her sharp heels to jab into her ex Disciple.
"Yep! And there's only one way to break them of the spell," I began while the three of us plus bearded dragon watched Ermac rounded the ladies up, his face was already exhausted from trying to hold all three Edenian ladies from struggling or breaking out of his telekinetic abilities.
"What is it?" asked Riana. Azril said nothing but I have a feeling that he knew as well. The oldest Disciple leaned close to whisper in my sister's ear, making her cover her mouth in shock but her face was flushed.
"Oh my..."
"Yeah," I glanced at the the captured ladies. "If I actually did it with the three of them, not only the spell will be broken but their faith and trust in me will as well."
I have an idea on how to break the spell but I doubt it will contain all three of them. I just need my hammer and a pissed off ram from hell to help me with this. I glanced at my sister.
"Riana, how good are you at riding a ram?"
Riana raised a brow but said: "I've rode a horse before so does that count? What's the plan, Nash?"
So I told both Riana and Azril my plan and my god, I never thought it would be this day to see Azril's eyes widened in horror at my idea.
...
"YOU OWE ME, NASH!" Riana called out.
I held Kurt in my arms, who was wriggling to see what's happening to her. Let's just say it took me and Azril to convince her to get a hell ram in heat to charge at the Edenian ladies' direction.
Yep, she's going to do some kind of mating dance or something to spike that beast's interest in her. Azril was keeping an eye on Ermac who is still trying to contain the ladies under his powers.
"We can't contain all of them for long," Ermac reminded us, a strain was heard in his voice.
Not before a minute, Riana was already running- or what can I depict as running since she's about to fall but at least she's got a ram. My god, he's almost as tall as a shire horse I've seen while I had a vacation in Scotland.
"Ermac, on my signal you release them," I told him, hammer gripped tightly in my hand. Riana was coming close to where the three naked Edenian ladies were hovering above while the hell ram was charging at full speed.
"Wait for it..."
Riana, I could hear her panting hard from getting chased by the ram. When the ram was close to the ladies, I used my hand to signalled Ermac to drop them down. Riana leaped out of the way, barely missing the charging horns from the ram.
Ermac hovered to watch the scene while I held Kurt close to comfort my pounding heart. Azril helped Riana up and the rest of us watched in horror at what the ram did.
Jade and Kitana someone got out of it, still under the spell but Sindel was trapped under the ram and...
"I'm going to be sick," Azril murmured, his head lowered down to look at his feet. Riana also looked away and petted Kurt to calm herself. I would too since being in this place is already messed up enough.
"You think it's going to work?" she asked, letting Kurt crawl on her arm before he hid in her top.
"We question you on this," Ermac suddenly floated down, joining us. "This has never happened before to the queen or anything we have ever read on the mating rituals of the beasts in Outworld. Especially if it involved something as strange as this."
No matter how much anyone wants to look away, it's not going help that Sindel's voice was ear-piercing when she's moaning while being rammed by a ram.
Let's just say I learnt that from experience...
While Sindel is in a situation, Riana and Azril were the ones who tried to hold back Jade and Kitana from saving her. I could see the bright colours returning into her form so now's my chance to knock the beast off.
With Ermac's help, he restrained the fire ram while I calmed Sindel down.
"Sindel," I shook her by the shoulder. It's hard when she was thrashing with her hair almost coiling me to death. "It's okay. You're not under Quan Chi's spell anymore."
WHAP!
I was greeted with a slap to the face by an angry Sindel. As soon as she saw me, her eyes softened and her hostility melted away. I touched the swollen part of my cheek. "Nash...where are we?"
I told her that we are in the Netherrealm and about Quan Chi's intentions. Sindel almost looked embarrassed with her flushed cheeks, trying to make herself look modest despite in her nudes. So I offered her my top which I might not need it since this place is getting hotter or it's just me.
Sindel was watching her daughter and general engaging in combat with Azril and Riana. Ermac was acting as our all-seeing eye in case Quan Chi comes back since his souls are very sensitive.
"You didn't want to do it because you knew it would permanently break our trust," Sindel concluded and I nodded. "And now, my daughter and Jade..."
Yeah, they are still in combat with Riana and Azril and let me tell you Riana's taking lots of hits and bruises compared to the oldest Disciple's swift and precise actions while Ermac was assisting the both of them. There was no way I am going to provoke an angry ram because there's a chance that it's going to end in a bloodbath either way.
"Jade, snap out of it!" Riana tried to call out her ex-mentor but dodged the staff.
"It's useless to attack me, Princess," Azril told the Edenian princess firmly, clashing both their fan blades and daggers together. Kitana was growling, as if for a second she was starting to become like Mileena minus the fangs.
But the fight was soon paused by some kind of magic, since Ermac looked like he's in serious pain. Maybe the souls inside of him were trying to fight the magic like white blood cells when they found a foreign substance in the body.
"I just left for a while and this happened?" the deep voice stated rather than questioned the whole situation. "Nonetheless, I am surprised that you decided to bring the boy that I wanted."
Quan Chi was back and he's not alone.
"You..." Sindel's voice was quiet when she saw the necromancer. "You brainwashed me and now you decided to stoop so low to target my daughter?! If I had knew about this-"
Sindel was silenced again by Quan Chi's magic. I wanted to help but I also was immobilised by his magic so all I could do now was stare. And I thought Shang Tsung was giving me a hard time before this.
"All will be revealed soon," Quan Chi chuckled before using his necromancy to drag Azril forcefully. "As for you, boy..."
"Leave him alone!" Riana cried out, her arms looked like they were twisted while she was on the ground.
Quan Chi snapped his fingers and a figured appeared in dark shadows.
Why must this happen to us?!
...
3rd P.O.V
"I still can't believe that you guys came on a sea turtle!" Kristina was patching up her wounds after experiencing some burnt marks from those lesser Shokans. She wondered if Sheeva knew about Kintaro and his people rebelling against her.
"I know and I thought being stuck in a video game was weird," said Bryan who was polishing his suit.
The aftermath of the battle was bloodied and some bodies were decapitated or eaten by Visenya who seemed agitated since Azril was teleported with Riana to save Nash. She was puffing out smoke from her nostrils to show her dissatisfaction.
"Glad the baby's hidden from all of this," Erron had walked up to both of them and sat down. "Kid's gonna be disappointed if he sees his daddy being a murderer. At least the big lug ain't like my Pa."
Bryan curiosity was suddenly piked until Kristina grabbed his wrist roughly and shook her head. Not wanting to get a broken arm, Bryan nodded. "Still you guys, you think Nash and the others are alright in Hell?"
"Hey, can't you just travel there yourself, Bryan?" Erron inquired with an arch brow. "You did it while we were on the ship and tried to find ways to get y'all home."
Bryan shrugged. "Nah! I'm too tired to travel to Hell to get them. I'm sure they'll be fine. You know how difficult it is to travel to other worlds and be the genius of the group?"
Erron Black scoffed. "Says the same 'genius' who thought screaming would be one way to fight Kintaro along with blasting out that trash you called music to stun them."
"Hey! High School Musical's the shit!"
Kristina grabbed Bryan by the shoulders and shakes him while Erron watched in amusement. "WHAT THE HELL, BRYAN?! HOW CAN YOU BE SO SELFISH?!"
"Kris, easy with the suit!" Bryan tried to wriggle his way out of her vice-like grip. "At least I tried to find a way for us to go home if things don't workout. A little birdie told me someone started an unnecessary riot among Tarkatans? Or am I wrong, hmm?"
Reluctantly, Kristina dropped him down. She doesn't want to make the same mistake that almost got her and her friends killed. Still, Bryan can be a little weasel when it comes to contributing in group work.
He may be the brains but he can just make everyone else work without lifting a finger.
Bryan crossed his arms, smug at the fact that Kristina hasn't beat the absolute shit out of him. It still amazed him why Kristina would rather hang out with him and Nash in school. Right now, they were waiting for Reptile and Kotal to get back after defeating Kintaro and his troops. Both the Osh-Tekk and Zaterran were interrogating him.
He figured that the interrogation would not last but oh well!
Meanwhile, Kristina decided to clear her head from the stress she was experiencing. So she decided to walk with Erron who was bored with the wait as well.
"So, are you thinking of siding with anyone once the war's over?" she asked.
"Maybe. It depends who's winning."
This made Kristina looked at him in confusion. So he's neutral and just follows around whoever has the biggest dough? Then again, who wouldn't so long as the pay is good, right?
"You ever missed home, Kristina?" it was Erron's turn to ask her as they found a rocky spot for the both of them to sit down. Hopefully, Kristina prayed that Bryan was not around to spy on them like he had done in school for gossip.
"Sure I do," Kristina told him softly. "Missed my big bro, my little sister, my parents and even my pet dog Teddy. You know, I'm not originally from Malaysia like my friends here."
Erron arched a brow. Something they have in common besides their competitive nature? "Really? I'll be damn! So where's your original home at?"
"Singapore. Sure it's nice and all but it's too perfect with their rules and I'm not going into Mean Girls territory to tell you about the school I used to go to. At least in Malaysia, there's some thrills and action I can handle."
Erron may not understand a damn word Kristina just explained to him but all the cowboy knew was that she preferred her new home despite being an outsider much like him. In fact, if he ever visits Earthrealm again, he bet his bottom dollar that everything's changed and the only one living in the past would be he himself.
"At least we both agreed that we're pretty much strangers to places we would call home," said Erron. "Living in the thrills but unlike me, at least you got your own gang."
Kristina smirked and punched him lightly. "Well, Bryan and Nash would be considered part of my group. Even though Riana and Azril are older than me, they're pretty cool even if I don't like handling animals like her or being a multitasker like him. I'm more on the sports and action."
"I can see that. Say Kristina, how do you find Outworld or anything of this?"
Kristina rests both of her arms over her head. "I'd say it's my kind of place but you know, still adjusting as you can see."
Erron nodded and the both of them sat in silence. Kristina was nervous since this was one of those moments she has experienced before hand. Usually, most people who see her as the jock who could crush anyone in her way but only a few saw her sensitive side.
She could feel the walls of her tough exterior slowly crumbling down.
"Erron?"
Erron propped himself up, his blue eyes meeting her dark brown ones. "What's eating you, sugar?"
Kristina took his glove hands in hers, her own palms were sweating from this intense feeling. Erron who noticed this was wondering if...
"Kristina..."
When the tough Disciple looked up, her face was suddenly cupped gently before the gunslinger removed his mask to revealed the rugged face she has seen once.
Before she knew it, her lips were pressed firmly with his and it was then that the both of them knew they wanted more of it. The both of them continued their little session with the sounds of their smooching was heard. Kristina decided to enjoy this moment with him.
Before anyone finds them.
However, Kristina's mind was racing as if she was experiencing a car accident.
'Fuck!' she thought to herself. 'How the hell am I going to choose between him and Ermac?'
*singing* Past, the point of no return~ The final curtains, how can she pick between a ghost and a guy's who rich they both set her ablaze?
Now we know that Kristina's originally from Singapore and it looks like she's in a Christine Daae situation!
Now, what does Quan Chi want with Azril and can Nash saved his friends along with the Edenian ladies in Hell?
Hope everything is okay with you guys! We're all in this together ;)
